After quoting from a column by Brian Camenker from MassResistance on the supposedly detrimental effects of marriage equality in Massachusetts, Trewhella said gay marriage “totally changes the entire culture” but that most Americans “don’t care anyway.”
“Your children would be getting perverted in their minds by these filthy people,” Trewhella claimed, before turning his venom to straight people who don’t condemn gays and lesbians: “I have no respect for people who are parents, who actually have children, and have no problem with homosexuality or homosexual marriage. They are the most base people on the planet to have totally abandoned every God-given vestige to protect your child from the filth of homosexuality, to blatantly go along with it is disgusting.”

And my children have grown up with acceptance. They judge people based on their merits, not their color, sexual orientation, etc. They get along with other people and don't fight against the pursuit of happiness of their fellow citizens. My children have grown up to be better people than you, Matt.

Quite right Frosty, everyone is Gay. It's part of the projection script. If you support Gay Marriage you're wise, talented, well balanced, tolerant and adjusted. If you don't support it you're Gay. So really everyone supports it except the Gay people who don't know they are Gay yet.
People who deny they are Gay are Gay. People who don't deny they are Gay are just wise.

Well, I personally have no respect for parents who teach their children to hate, who isolate them from contrary opinions, and who would force the rest of the world to go along with their paranoia parenting. Actually, I have negative respect for such people, as it cancels out any positives traits they might have.

Yeah, up here in Canada, I haven't noticed children burning crosses, churches being shut down, priests being condemned, cats and dogs getting along. Worst thing that happened to us was Beiber and we shipped him off as fast as we could.
Aside from the bile and hatred (I wonder how Matt manages to avoid getting melted from the inside out by these; I hope that he at least gets a major ulcer...), what bothers me most about this quote is the last sentence: is Matt unaware of the meaning of the word "vestige"? I checked the video, Right Wing Watch transcribed the sentence faithfully, so at best it was Matt who mentally dropped a couple of words in his diatribe... And even if he meant to say "every God-given vestige of [a virtue or something Matt considers as such]", it still means that his Gawd only provided a vestigial/non-functional version of said virtue...
Funny how all those countries with legalised gay marriage have suffered no major changes to their "entire culture," and how merely allowing homosexuals to exist peacefully has not caused the children in those countries to become "perverted in their minds."
It's almost as if Trewhella is just bearing false witness & spreading hate like the Pharisees, "Outlaw Sodomy" & "Phillip-George2013."

And i’ve also been told that my completely heterosexual marriage displeases your god, too. Take your pick of reasons: Race, she’s older than i am, she’s better educated, she has her own checking account, bought her own car… The list of offences goes on and on, with no real impact on me.
