Chinese-American Ambassador Denounced by Chinese as a “Banana”

Pandering to our ChiCom rivals by appointing an ethnic Chinese person (the word “Chinaman” is currently verboten) to be US Ambassador worked out better than appointing a homosexual to be Ambassador to Libya. But that doesn’t mean it turned out particularly well:

A major Chinese government news service has used a racist slur to describe the departing American ambassador —

The article called Gary Locke a “rotten banana,” a guide dog for the blind, and a plague. It reflected Chinese nationalists’ acute loathing toward the first Chinese-American to have been Washington’s top envoy to Beijing. —

“Banana” is a term for Asians identifying with Western values despite their skin color.

You know: yellow on the outside, white on the inside.

You might think that if we are going to put race ahead of qualifications, an ambassador representing America should look like a typical American. On the contrary. The idea of putting race ahead of qualifications is to prove you are not a racist, and choosing an ethnically typical American for anything is the height of racism. Even suggesting that someone who isn’t ethnically Chinese but who speaks Chinese (unlike Locke) and who knows what he is doing would be racist.

Hey, I just figured out what to do with MSM propagandist Connie Chung. Someone call CBS; I think they have her tucked away in a storage locker somewhere.
