Yes, inspite of Hitler saying in that book he felt he was doing god's bidding by killing the jews and numerous reports of catholic aid to the nazis, as well as numerous quotes from Hitler claiming to be a catholic, Hitler was really a Sunni.

I am only aware of one similarity between Mein Kampf and the Qur'an, but it goes a long way to explaining your attitude: they're both extraordinarily difficult to translate into English, so unless you're willing to learn the original language to a quite high degree of fluency, you'll never really be able to say you've actually, properly read them.
