Its in human nature for people to want others to be like them, so it follows that gay's would like everyone to be like them. No human race, selfish. How do you know there are always going to be plenty of straight people, over the last few years there seems to be more and more gays, if they keep "coming out " at this rate how long before they outnumber straights. Or are you saying it will slow up and stop at a certain point. Mind you its only an observation, I don't realy care, by that time I will be dead and then I'm out of it, or if the belivers are right I'm really in it. Either way they can fill their boots, or anything else as I won't be here to see it.

The number of straight people will probably always be larger (See Gender Wars for alternate possibilities) than the number of gay people. And even if the number of gay people increases, what does that matter to you? The only problem would be that the golden rule is that beautiful women are either taken or lesbians (This does not reflect the sentiments of the writer, it is just something that can be observed in a great multitude of movies). othrewise it would not influence you in any way.
More and more are COMING OUT -- i.e., they were already gay, and now they're just getting more comfortable with admitting it to the world. It doesn't mean that there is a higher percentage of gays than there ever was before.
I have never once in my life felt the need to have others be like me. I may have wanted to fit in and acted like others to achieve that goal during my early schooling, but what you describe is usually something that I have only seen to be a strong factor in a parent's mind, when refering to their children. To project that to perfect strangers is quite abnormal.

But I do not agree with THAT conclusion. A gay person might wish that some particular hottie of the same sex were gay just to have a chance with him or her, or might wish that he/she could find more available people; but it's a brobdingnagian leap from saying that to saying that ALL GAYS want ALL PEOPLE to be gay. It's ridiculous to try to speak for all people of any group, but especially so for a group you not only don't belong to but don't understand and clearly despise.
