Regardless of the Imperialism that has guided the hand of the US Government pretty much since it's beginnings, to deny the sacrifice of any man who has fought and died in a war is a slap in the face to every soldier of every nation. It is easy to blame others and hurl insults back and forth. It is quite likely, that without the combined efforts of all the nations involved in WWII, the face of the world would be quite different today.
It is the politician that decides to go to War. It is the people, like myself and many others, who must kill, die or be injured because of that decision.
Never once did I or the soliders under my command kill a civilian or have a friendly fire incident. All captives that were taken under our control were treated fairly and respectfully.
For the Nationalists on this particular posting, get a clue. No one lives under a government that is free of tyranny or poor decisions. The US is not the only country who follows their "interests". The bigot who is responsible for this quote is not an adequate representation of the American People, but only a small majority. Mind you, a solid number of the American populous is complacent, greedy, self righteous and self serving but there are quite a few of us who have or are willing to make sacrifices for strangers under different national flags. Myself, Sgt. Cariola was wounded in action in Fallujah in 2004. I was shot in the hip. The round deflected off my hip bone and collapsed my left lung. During that same fire fight, Sgt. Samuel Walters died dragging me to saftey. None of the men listed above will ever be forgotten.
All these men were personally known to me and were the best soldiers a country could ask for. These men, like many other men and women who have fought in the Wars that have scarred our planet died without thinking of themselves. They fought to stop an oppressive force that they saw as a threat to the world as they knew it. Before anyone can address another human as a parasite, they must first ask how selfless they have been themselves.
Defensor Fidei, before you go on to cause more verbal defecation, please know that this Atheist and many other men and women of other nationalities have fought and died for people like you, regardless how much of a ridiculous idiotic fuck you act.
