Actually, thisisyou, there are many different "flavors" of fundies. Not all of us "relish death and torture." I know for a fact that I am saddened when I think of those who turn their backs on God. That's all right, though. I'll tell you why those of us from TOL have come here. Quatumspirit decided to post a link to the comments he (or she) posted here. I find nothing wrong with someone being a fundy. So, I support my friends who have "made QS's list." And, while we're at it, just because I support my friends and consider myself a fundy, doesn't mean that we share all the same beliefs. :) We (Shalom and I) believe in the same God. We're both very conservative, politically. That means that we will agree on a lot. But, by no means, do we agree on everything theologically or politically.

Schizophrenia is a largely treatable condition, but you have to WANT the help. That last line about funny’ and sad’ is an impossible statement. You first rule out one side for the other in a tone that implies that one rules out the other, yet you say that both feeling exist regarding the same subject. I believe that there is a flaw in your logic.

“How intolerant the tolerant crowd can be” negates itself doesn’t it? The fact is, a fundie is someone who will hold true and dear to a belief or set of ideas, in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary, or at the very least, believes without initial proof. To be proud of ignorance is not a worthwhile ambition. If that were the case you might as well beat yourself over the head with your bible until you have to be fed with a straw.

There is a big difference between intolerance and pointing out the hypocrisy and errors of a particular worldview. You should keep that in mind.

Also known as "pure" democracies... John Adams, Fisher Ames and John Quincy Adams were also talking about "pure" democracy... as in the above quote. The Benjamin Rush quote was never uttered by him... it's a lie, plain and simple. As for Noah Webster, John Witherspoon and Zephaniah Swift, they are all talking about "pure" democracies also... hell.. the quotes make that extremely clear. All in all, those quotes don't say what you think they say...

Ugh. I'm going to say a few things-
I do not know the exact defintion of the word "liberal". I am politically neutral, though I do find myself agreeing with what most people, who identify themselves as Liberals, have to say (except for the name calling, because that's just mean). Now, any of you from TOL- whatever that is- or people who are supporting Shalom or BillyBob, you're no better. I don't care what you believe us to be, because calling others names just sets us all up for a vicious cycle. I believe it would be for the best if you may leave us alone, because not all of us want to have a debate with you at the current moment, or at a moment in the near futre. Instead, it would be great to stay on the sites you want us to visit, so that if any of us DO show up, you may have your intelligent debate, where nobody resorts to calling each others homos or pussies. You like to see us with our panties in a knot, as you have said before. Well, if you have been paying attention to many of the posts that have been rated in the high 4's or 5's, so do the people who regularly visit this site (only with religious fundamentalists- mostly Christians because there are many open Christian Religious Fundamentalists, and they won't let you forget it). Oh, and specifically to you who say "Liberals hate freedom", or "Gays are ruining America"- Generalizations suck.

The_Dude, what's this "we" business? I don't hate BillyBob any more than I could hate a wine-stain on the carpet or a piece of junk mail. An irritant, perhaps, but hardly of enough importance to warrant such a strong emotion.
I think I'm right in asserting that the only person here losing any sleep over BillyBob's posts is BillyBob - remember, dictionaries are only helpful if you know the first few letters of a word ;) When all else fails, just sellotape the suffix "-fag" onto the end of as many words as possible. That way, you get to be 'insulting' and the word can become longer (so people will think you're really, really clever). In the words of the Great Shalom: "double whammy".

What username did you use? People disagree with the admins all the time over there, that in itself isn't enough to get you banned. And I have NEVER seen the admins go back and edit people's posts after banning them unless there was something aginst the rules that needed editing, like a link or something vulgar etc. "TOL is known for a place where freedom isn't allowed... unless you toe the line." -CT TOL is certainly not without its restrictions, but what web forum is? I don't 'toe the line' and I've been posting there for years.....I've also been banned about a dozen times....at least a dozen.....

Well to be honest, it depends TOTALLY on the situation of the person getting the abortion. I mean, its so frustrating these days how people who can't wrap it up get girls easily pregant and they use abortion as a form of contraception and there are people out thre desperate for a baby and they just can't physically have one.

And i know this is going to sound VERY harsh, but i dont think that if i was a women who was raped and then became pregnant, i honestly could say i could never have the child personally because it would remind me everytime i see them of the rapist.

i can't say exactly, but they CERTAINLY don't deserve death, a bit extreme, but then again look at what site we're on =\

And i agree TOTALLY with Kyle, you are becomming a lot more dangerous than any terrorist the way you all semm to want to kill everyone because they are different.

The sad thing about trolls like BillyBob is that they're breeding like rabbits, while the people of rational thought are getting abortions and are having only slightly more than two babies per couple, with the coupling rate lower. Soon, they'll take over the democratic process. Yes, BillyBob, it is a democracy. And it doesn't really matter what you say about the United States being a "Republic"; it's a democracy by definition. That's why I'm glad to live up in Canada. We've got all the democracy without too much of the... well, BillyBob. I'm sure his genes account for 76% of the inbred population he belongs to.

By the way, to any fundies who think the U.S. is a Republic and are still reading this thread, I dare you to look up what the letters in U.S.S.R. mean. You'll have nightmares.
