Wowww...There's more idiocy in this than I read on Conservapedia! And that's REALLY saying something.
No one is born with any real religion. Rather, they are born knowing out to eat, sleep, spit up, and go "Number 2". That's it. Only later in life do they actually gain the understanding to CHOOSE a belief. That's right. CHOOSE.
However, sadly, there are people who's right to choose is clouded by family members who attempt to establish for them a religion without any consent. The infant only absorbs the information as if it is true fact.
Sadly enough, this could have happened to me. My parent is very religious. However, she did not start taking me to church until very recently. She had always been to busy. Thus, when I actually DID start going to church, I, understandably questioned EVERYTHING. At one point, my mother even said that if she had started taking me to church earlier, maybe I'd be more "open" to it.
In other words, I'd follow blindly forward singing the hymns and preaching the word while my brain slowly lost it's ability to function from the lack of questioning.
She might have been right.
*shivers*
The Moral: THINK FOR YOURSELF! If you don't, "Big Brother" will think FOR you.
P.S. Sorry for the long comment. ^^' Had alot to say.
