Those are antidepressants, they do not treat psychoses. Women who need antidepressants and are wise enough to be taking them don't sound unworthy of marriage. "Take away the raped women." Why would that be? Are you afraid to marry a non-virgin? Once again, your shallowness is showing. "Take away the women with STDs / HIV." All STDs are treatable, most are cureable. Even if she has a terminal disease, that's no reason not to be married. "Take away the women who can't cook." Why, you're not bright enough to cook? You do know how to order in? You can't find take-out Chinese food? "Take away the women who already have kids." Because you're too shallow to love kids that aren't genetically yours? Actually he's - from an evolutionary point of view - completely right.
1. Over 30 you have less likelihood of surviving childbirth (I think I read that somewhere) and if you can only get one kid out, you haven't been fruitful and multiplied you've divided. 2. Obesity and overweight issues tend to have at least some genetic aspect which would not be profitable to pass on to children 3. See (2) 4. Depression and similar mental neuroses have a genetic link (however weak) which should not be passed to further generations. 5. This one's less valid (especially if the rape happened more than six months ago) but raped women could be pregnant with another man's child and thus lower the amount of progeny you will have in the future 6. While most STDs can be cured and all can be treated that doesn't stop them from passing to children (especially HIV which has no cure as of yet) which is again a poor choice for your genetic future. 7. The Cooking is a little weak too, but a woman who knows how to cook can better provide nourishment for your children to make them grow up stronger. 8. Similar to the rape argument above other children weaken your position and the position of your children. Granted this is also fundietastic and only suitable for cavemen, but it works from an evolutionary standpoint.

The tendency to retain weight, and therefore be what we might term over-weight, has been of great evolutionary benefit to some human groups. Those able to store fat best and have slower metabolisms fare better times of famine. Depression does have a significant genetic componant, but I think you are too quick to assess that as undesireable. Depression is also linked to creativity and high intelligence. In fact, the higher one's intelligence the more like one is to suffer from depression and the more severe that depression is likely to be. Children need proper nutrition, but whether it's mom, dad, siblings or someone else who provides that is unimportant. Let's also remember that Azrael wasn't talking about the evolution of the human species, he was talking about women he would marry.

Good point with the famine although my argument was not for the typical skinny person of today's culture but rather for a healthy non-overweight weight. I hadn't really thought about the creation/depression connection (though it could also be specious correlation). @joey444 Just so you know, I don't agree with anything he said, I was playing devil's advocate (or theist's advocate in this case), but I will attempt to refute your comments regardless. "Under 30? How many kids do you plan on having?" I don't know how this related to my fifth point but probably two, possibly one. "Because no men can cook? I hate ones like this because I personally love to cook, and guess what? I have a penis!" I already stated that this point was weak but... I have a penis too, and I like cooking too, but you're missing my point of the primalistic evolutionary derived argument. As the archetypal hunter/gatherer you get the food but the mother prepares the food for the child and is the child's caretaker while you are off doing whatever the hell it is cavemen do all day. "Why does having less kids matter if she already has some?" The point here is not having fewer kids but having a smaller percentage of the next generation be yours. Additionally that extra kid who is not your own adds a burden to your household which could be preserved for someone who will pass your genes on (the ultimate evolutionary goal). My personality is very antagonistic and argumentative, so I tend to argue for things I don't necessarily believe. In other words, take everything I say with a grain of salt.

Hey, I was 28 when I met sweetiedarling. What's a few years once you're a fully fledged adult? Take away the fat women. Some wear it well, I have to say. :) Take away the ugly women. I'm 40; maybe I don't want to fucking get married. Been there, done that, don't wanna do it again. Maybe I just want companionship.

Some guys like fat women. And beauty is in the eye of the beholder. There are plenty of old, fat, guys who have no problem getting married.

A woman on Prozac or Zoloft isn't psycho. Clinical depression is an illness, you fuck. I might also add that there are plenty of MEN on those drugs as well.

Blaming the victim for rape is something that should have died long ago unless you're a total fucking asswipe.

There are plenty of couples where one person has an STD. Many of them also find ways to ensure the uninfected partner remains that way.

Oh, you can't cook? Do you think your balls will shrivel if you step into a kitchen? I can cook, but it isn't going to be for a misogynistic asshole.

And plenty of men are infertile and maybe don't mind marrying a woman with children. In fact, there are a number of blended families in this country.
