It’s time to have a Muslims check-point line in America’s airports and have Muslims be scrutinized. You better believe it, it’s time—Most Americans want prejudice. Let’s be prejudiced against those who want to slaughter innocent American men, women and children. It’s time we start exercising some prejudice and stop these bloody terrorists.

Indeed. Trouble is that the vast majority of Muslims aren't among them.
Most Americans want prejudice.
Anyone that wants prejudice, is prejudiced and assumes it applies to everyone but them - or maybe just the people they don't like.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say most Americans aren't THAT prejudiced - please don't prove me wrong. I know 20% of you voted for Bush, but fuck 20% didn't and 60% couldn't give a shit.
Let's put up a check point for Christians, vegetarians, blacks, Jews, Whites and Asians while we are at it.
Continuing from Wolf O'Donnell (SWHQ): ... and all terrorists are not Muslim.
Seriously, if it's a question of security, one has to realize that not all those who would commit mass murder are Muslim. Furthermore, even if the perpetrators are Muslim, that doesn't mean that they themselves have to actually get on a plane to bring it down -- they can use unwitting mules as carriers.
Mike Gallagher is one of those folks who think it is okay to single out groups of people that don't include him for special treatment in order that his own group is not inconvenienced. His own simpleminded idea would do little to increase security, but would go a long way towards collectively punishing a group of people he's not a part of and doesn't like.
That is one of the reasons Mike Gallagher is scum, and a fool as well.
"It’s time to have a Muslims check-point line in America’s airports and have Muslims be scrutinized."
That would require some rather serious revising of the COnstitution of the United States. And even Bush isn't stupid enough to try to do that.
"You better believe it, it’s time
Most Americans want prejudice."
Prove it. Show me one shred of evidence that supports your claim that "most" Americans want prejudice in our nation. Until you can prove it, stop stating opinion as fact. Or are you really so deluded as to think that everyone else must, of course, be exactly like you? Only the truly insane believe that everyone else is also insane.
"Let’s be prejudiced against those who want to slaughter innocent American men, women and children."
You mean terrorists? AKA criminals? Or do you mean all Muslims are terrorists? You probably do, since you have already made one huge generalizing sweep and categorized all Americans as racist, why not make another and categorize all Muslims as terrorist extremeists? After all, with your listener base, such a declaration would only increase your popularity with people whose family trees do not fork.
"It’s time we start exercising some prejudice and stop these bloody terrorists."
Persuing and preventing the criminal activity of terrorist extreamists is not "prejudice," it's called "police work." If you were to persue every Muslim as a terrorist, then yes, that would be prejudice.
But are you really too stupid to see that such a course of action would serve only to create more terrorists...?
moog: Thanks for the link! Sadly, I cannot possibly exercise any influence on British politics, but I urge anyone who is able to vote in the U.K. to point out the absurdities of this idea to legislators and policymakers there. Meanwhile, I will do the same to some of them here.
I truly am grateful to law-enforcement personnel and its leaders for trying to be vigilant, but there comes a point when it becomes self-defeating, and we give up so much liberty (some of us perhaps more than others) that the result is not worth it -- especially because, let's face it, the crooks don't play by the rules, no matter how harsh and tight they are.

On 9/11 I believe it was christian fundamentalists and not muslims, americans were told a huge lie.
I find that unlikely. What would Christian fundies have to gain from attacking one of their largest strongholds?
The really fucking retarded thing about that is they're not so much talking about increasing security for others, but relaxing it for some, which means the safest plane to be on is the one full of violated muslims.
This is like the mentality that 'if we take away all guns, there won't be any crime!'
No, the criminals will STILL have them, the rest of us will not. Even if your stupid, sweeping, short-sided, unconstitutional, racist, pin-headed idea came to fruition, this would be no gaurantee of anything but angering people. Terrorist acts would still happen.
That being said I'll dust off an old chestnut and beg you to please, for the sake of open-minded people everywhere, fuck yourself with a tractor.
Dipshit. Most Muslims are not terrorists, not all Muslims look stereotypically Muslim, and not all terrorists are Muslim. Bush is a terrorist, and he's Christian.
From dictionary.com:
terrorism
1. the use of violence and threats to intimidate or coerce, esp. for political purposes.
Yes, Bush uses the threat of violence (performed by Muslim terrorists, ironically), to increase government power, which is a political gain.
Confused?
