Oh no, that cowbloy looking guy is gay and he is in a movie. They are trying to make all cowboy(ish) looking people seem gay! We must stop this travesty immediatly. Maybe we should ban all gay men and women from wearing pants to. You never know if they are trying to make other pant wearing people look gay.
OK, dude, first off, the "American Cowboy" as you think of him never existed, but was a creation of Hollywood and advertising agencies. Secondly, "Brokeback Mountain" was not a "gay cowboy movie," it was movie about two men who were trapped by the realities and prejudices of the society they lived in. (And by the way, cowboys have been pretty damn gay ever since The Village People.)gay ...to me.
I am proud of my image, and as a heterosexual minister I am proud of the fact that my image consultant Steven Houser has given he the look of the American Cowboy.

Reverend Ray is the fucking coolest Western charcter ever. Seriously there are so many Western characters from movies, tv shows, and games who are heterosexual and only one movie with gay cowboys but suddenly it's an attack on a whole genre. You fail miserably, your paranoia is akin to pre-WWII Germany, go seriously revaluat your life.
I love how people don't seem to realize that Brokeback was based on a book that had been around for years, like the story was made up by Hollywood (what seems to be implied here)
And just why the heck would a good christian minister require the services of an image consultant? Somehow, that makes me feel that in the case of the good Rev. Dr. Michael Schmidt, What You See AIN'T What You Get.

You have an image consultant, and you wonder that people think you're gay? (Not that every gay person has an image consultant, but there seems to be more gay men that care about their appearance, than straight men. Anyone saying "I'm not prejudiced" will soon come with a "but...".)
