Mashad, 10 April (AKI) - A top Shia cleric in Iran has said that unveiled women are a serious danger to Iranian society as they cause men to be "transformed into beasts".

"Women without the veil are a danger that the authorities underestimate," said Hojatolislam Seyyed Ahmad Elmalhoda, a powerful cleric who leads the Friday prayers in Mashad, a site considered sacred for Shia Muslims as it houses the shrine of Imam Reza.

"This situation is very serious in that if men see these bad women, they will turn into beasts, and then the whole of society will have to pay the consequences."

According to the Shia cleric, women who do not respect conservative Islamic dress rules are "sources of all that is bad in society."

It's because you're so repressed, dipshit. Some scholars think the Witch Trials of Europe occured as such a huge phenonmena because it allowed the inhibition of sexual repression (many times, men would look at women's uncovered bodies checking for a "Devil's Mark"--today we would refer them as moles, blemishes, maybe acne, etc.)

(Of course, I saw that on a History Channel special about the Witch Trials, so unfortunately I can't be any more specific than that. Sorry guys!)

However, it does give me pleasure to know that I can call this guy a dipshit, and I, a female--an INFIDEL! female at that--do not spontenously combust due to his God.

Remember, everytime a female or infidel ridicules a Muslim cleric, it pisses him off!

According to the Shia cleric, men who do not respect the rules of a normal, social society are "sources of all that is bad in society."

That's funny. My father has seen my mother's face at home and in public more times than he can count and he's never turned into a beast because of that. Nobody's turned into a beast when I've gone out in public and I never cover my face. If anything, men are more likely to become beast-like when they're hungry. I can see it now:
