I guess this is why people get caught up in Atheism. Since Atheism being completely derived from a fantasy worldview, then it makes it very hard to know what is actually true and what isn't.

After nearly 8 years as a theist fundie (and I was a hard core burn-'em-quick fundie) I got exactly two useful pieces of wisdom to incorporate into my life:
1. Avoid even the very appearance of evil. It saves all kinds of trouble later.
2. Never order spagetti on a first date. When you suck up the noodles the sauce will splatter on your shirt.
Everything else was a self-imposed fantasy that fell off like a shroud once I had my own personal "Eureka!" moment about the non-existence of a god.
I guess this is why people get caught up in christianity. Since christianity being completely derived from a fantasy worldview, then it makes it very hard to know what is actually true and what isn't.
Amazing how changing two little words makes an ignorant statement more intelligent.
Yep, because atheists are so well known for writing allegorical fiction about their beliefs. Especially those fantasy books, like Lord of the Rings and Narnia and so on. Just dripping with TOTAL LACK OF religious allegory.
Go worship Aslan or something.

Backwards Day should only be valid in Mortville.
(Let's see how many folks understand that reference!)
Thanks a bunch, now I'm going to have to call in the Global Frequency guys to disarm my irony meter before it goes off with enough force to wipe out the Northern Hemisphere.
Kinda makes me wonder why we keep building nuclear-powered irony meters, really, given how often they explode.
I agree, Shawn. Atheism is the reason we are seeing such an influx of illegal immigrants in the United States. The majority of these immigrants come from non-Christian cultures. Yes, the Mexicans are usually Roman Catholic (which only serves to counter the influence of evangelicals in this country), but there are also a whole slew of immigrants coming from places like India, Japan, Korea, and China. None of these people are Christians. That is why the atheist establishment is welcoming them with open arms - because they know that if enough of these non-Christian foreigners are allowed in our country, then they will dilute the influence of the evangelical church and overturn the Christian society that we have been working for generations to establish.
ha ha haaaaa
Shawn is stupid!

Which of us believes an invisible magic man in the sky is running things?
Not at all Poe, Shawn (screen name S.Rubiks) is a true believer. fstdt.com was brought up in the thread (it's how I learned about this place) and Shawn assures us that he's not a fundie.
Speaking as a theist, I think he's crazy.
As atheism is a lack of belief in gods, and without belief in gods, no-one would be defined as atheistic, then yes, atheism is completely derived from a fantasy worldview; the religious worldview.
But, as that is all atheism is; a lack of belief in gods, it's not much to get "caught up in", really. Are you caught up in your lack of belief in unicorns, Shawnie?
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
