It takes a priest to molest a child...but it takes an atheist to molest, then eat their victim (or consider it, at least). Here's an entry I made at Atheism Sucks: http://atheismsucks.blogspot.com/2008/03/most-disgusting-murderers-are-usually.html
Some more gasoline for the fire.
I suggest you look up the nature of most serial killers. The vast majority come from extremely strict religious backgrounds and strict punishments. Hence the serial killers "love" of targetting certain groups of people. Usually prostitutes. The argument is that they determine their own "arbitrary" rules that are not concurrent with society. As for "cannibalism" there are more incidences of cannibalism in the US than in across the world. For most its a ritual where the dead are consumed. This is particularly seen in famous "cannibal" tribes who eat their "honoured" enemies and loved ones. Its not "immoral", its unhealthy. No group of people ever regarded cannibalism as a way of living. Its mainly serial killers who do that.
FYI, read the comments on the blog entry...included with cultural information would be morality...meme theory gives atheists a mechanism for how information is spread...but then the question is, which meme is best?
The meme of universality is one of the best. The fact is people will do "evil" things. Religion or not. But religion stunts our morality in that we can tolerate "terrible" things done in the name of our religion. The difference between Joshua's behaviour at the walls of Jericho and that of Hitler's in Poland is non-existent. The concept of best is one that you have in your head. Remember once we thought that vaccination was a terrible idea since it went against the will of god. Look how quickly that meme died.
At this point you have nothing but mere opinion to go on...you cannot logically argue for one meme over another...in fact, I would force you to be consistent and say your belief about this meme or that one is controlled by your memeplex...which would imply no one can know anything as a fact...meme theory "proves" too much for atheists...so yes, my reductio makes complete sense.
Meme theory merely works on the fact that we utilise "ideas" to force our "evolution". We don't wait for nature to give us claws, we make knives. The idea that our "stone tools" are sufficient is nearly extinct, due to the benefits of steel. Likewise the concept of atheism is a weaker one than religion because atheists are less likely to go out and carry out massive amounts of destruction on others. Hence the first atheists are seen primarily in buddhist theory where a distinct "pacifist" nature is seen (nearly 600 years before christ...). You would be surprised on how moral atheists tend to be when compared to those who are religious. The 10 commandments are pitiful compared to most atheists morality.
