What the?? ok.. 1) is that such a bad idea? I don't know. I have not looked into any plans for such a thing. But it seems to be working for Europe. And they still have nations.
2) In ANY case, it would need to be voted on. And I am pretty sure that your president cannot just say 'ok, I'm dissolving the USA today' without getting congress involved.

Obama, considering himself a citizen of the world rather than of the US, with all of his "change the world" rhetoric, will make huge strides towards aglobal government, giving the UN the ability to tax and govern.

Scientists who dissent against the global warming dogma will be censored, just as scientists who dissent against the evolution dogma are.
Why would that happen. If you can show your evidence, and have it repeated, scientists will listen. As I understand it, it is QUITE clear temperatures are rising. Now, I will admit there MAY be some wriggle room as to the exact cause (could be natural). It has been warmer in the past. But at those times we (as a species) could more easily move to a better climate. That I'd like to see today. So MAYBE we should see if we can reverse what we have contributed to the mess, Just so we can, you know, keep living,
