Strange, I have witnessed that. Could it be that you filter out any instance of a woman talking about her partner’s character, but remember and assign excessive importance to any instance where they talk about her partner’s physical traits due to confirmation bias and motivated reasoning?

I don’t get out much, but my mother did use to say (and still does) that his interesting personality is what attracted her to my father in the first place. And it’s not like he was what you consider a “chad” in his youth (afaik).

I don’t know any “foids”, but when I describe my husband to other WOMEN, I usually call him caring, relatively feminist, appreciative, romantic, considerate, etc.
If I talk about his looks, I might say that his back is long and he often has lumbago.

The only times I’ve looked at a man angrily, are when he’s bleating on and on and on about something insignificant that no-one else is interested in, or if he’s using master suppression techniques, or if he’s disrespecting people’s boundaries, etc. I.e. when a man’s BEHAVIOR has been bad.
