When did being lesbian or gay become an entire, annoying personality? In the 90’s people were just gay or lesbian and went about their business like normal people. Today it’s an entire act featuring rainbows, sprinkles, confetti, parades and sexual debauchery. Obnoxious.

You need to get out more. A lot of people are ‘on’ the entire time they’re in public. Gay, parent, slut, hunk… Shania Twain has a song about single-trait people she doesn’t wanna date.
“In the 90’s people were just gay or lesbian and went about their business like normal people.”
Yeah, there weren’t any ‘flamers’ until that was invented in 2006.
Have you forgotten what happened when people found out someone was gay in the ’90s? They could be unceremoniously fired, disowned by their families, subject to abuse everywhere they went, even murdered outright. They’re sick of hiding who they are because of your arbitrary restrictions on what’s socially acceptable.
When did the OP become an entire, annoying personality?
When you realised that being a liberal - thus not a bigot - didn't bring in the grift buck$, Candarse.
Even back then, maybe especially back then the accusations of paedophilia, kids beimg kicked out of homes, assaulted, etc led to how they announce their ecistence.
When did being a conservative become an entire, annoying personality, Candy? In the 90’s people were just moderately right-wing and went about their business like normal people. Today it’s an entire denial of reality.
Never. No single aspect is a person's whole personality. Even when it seems like it. He'll I'm sure there is more to Candace Owens then being the most hateful person in the entire World. I doubt that's her whole annoying personality.
In the nineties people were afraid to come out as gay.
Someone who I watch occasionally on YouTube pointed out that when someone’s channel is focused on a particular subject, you only see the side of them which relates to that particular subject. Likewise if someone is an activist dedicated to a specific cause, or you only see someone in a specific environment or forum dedicated to a particular thing, if you don’t know them personally, you’re not going to see much else. And for someone who doesn’t want talking about same-sex relationships to be normalized, even someone talking about the (non-sexual) stuff they do with their same-sex partner can stand out too much in their minds in a way they personally find unpleasant. There’s probably a name for a fallacy and/or bias involved here, but I can’t think of one offhand.
There do exist a tiny number of gay people who are “obnoxiously gay” even to other LGBTQIA+ people, and in almost every place you might see them. But are they really any worse than The Straights™? You know, those obnoxiously breederific cishets who most straight people are embarrassed to be seen with when they get like that.
Confused?
