Don't worry. You can pick and choose which bits you want to follow. Just claim "it's poetry", "that part is symbolic", "that part wasn't meant for us", or any of a number of other justifications that allow you to wear clothing of blended fibers while eating bacon wrapped shrimp.

Well, sure, when the only audience ever intended for your "comedy" are a bunch of sycophants who will never tell you what, exactly, isn't funny about your comics (because they'll get permabanned if they try), then yeah, it's all fun and games.
Try comedy aimed at people who are able and willing to verbally tear you a new asshole whenever you fail at being relevant, informed, or funny.
I think I'm going to save this to remind myself that however bad the left can be at memeing, the right is often way, way worse.
In fact, the religious right never was actually able to meme well. Political memeing requires a sense of subversive, transgressive humor that the religious right steadfastly refuses to have.
I checked, I'm still a liberal. And still Christian, because they aren't mutually exclusive. Like, at all.
