Today it’s growing increasingly clear that far from being a believer, as Obama claimed in 2008, he is an enemy of believers – a tormenter of Christians, a persecutor.
[...]
I believe Obama and the agenda he personifies have used abortion and homosexuality as battering rams against the Christian faith.
For the proponent of unlimited government, God is truly the enemy because He is the author of liberty. He is the enemy because no one must serve a higher god than government. Men have been placing themselves in God’s place, divining right from wrong, since the Garden of Eden. There’s nothing new under the sun. It always leads to one end – disaster, catastrophe, death, destruction, misery, hopelessness.

God is the author of liberty? What the fuck are you talking about? He is the ultimate absolute monarch, killing everyone at his personal whim. Remember how he tortured Job for his own amusement? Wiped out cities and towns based on some weird logic?
Remember the old right wing saying, "anyone strong enough to give you liberty is strong enough to take it away."

Obama is promoting liberty as an attack on god the creator of liberty.
Explain how that works.

OK, can someone please tell me what exactly Obama has done to “torment” and persecute Christians? Because I can’t think of anything at all.
Hell, he didn’t even shut down Rapture Ready as the idiots there hoped feared!
Look, Joseph. Obama has bigger plans and problems than "using abortion and homosexuality as battering rams against the christian faith". He doesn't care about you or your faith. You should be focusing on the real issues, like the whole NSA spying thing that Obama refuses to do anything about. Of course, that would mean *real* change and not just perceived, so you don't do anything but whine about abortion and homosexuality.
Obama has used abortion just like Dubbya used abortion, stupid. More or less ignored it, that is.
Isn't God the ultimate "unlimited government" according to believers?
If you want to continue to deny homosexuals their human rights, why should we respect your religious rights? It's a matter of given and take, ya know.
When men place themselves in God's place, catastrophe might ensue. When man ignores God's place, society seems to work more equally and prosperous. Just compare Afghanistan and Sweden. Which seems to have more "disaster, catastrophe, death, destruction, misery, hopelessness than the other?
"disaster, catastrophe, death, destruction, misery, hopelessness."
No. That's what we get when there's no goverment regulation on the banks, and there are no government programs to help the poor. Kind of like what we've been going back to ever since Reagan.

Modern medicine, space travel, modern science, computers, the internet - as you said: all bad things.

How is Obama tormenting and persecuting Christians, exactly? Are they being targeted and profiled and sent off to jail en masse? Pretty sure that's a no. Supporting safe legal abortion and the unrelated concept that GLBT people are actually people deserving of equal rights doesn't count as "battering" Christian faith, sorry. Obama isn't a proponent of unlimited government, either, that's just a weird lie the Repubs pulled out of their asses to mobilize the tea-partiers. And the scare tactics always work, apparently, as these right-wing nut jobs can never differentiate lies and propaganda from reality.

No kidding. Every time some king or preacher has told us that they're speaking for god, they fuck everything up. Maybe we should just stop listening to those assholes (Joseph Farah included). Tell you what, if your god wants things run a certain way, it's high time for it to come down and tell us so in unambiguous terms. Until that happens, I'm going to assume it doesn't exist and use my common sense instead of interpretations of a two thousand year old book.
>Abraham's god.
>Author of liberty.
You've... you've never actually read the bible, have you?
@Old Viking
The Apocalypse is nigh! It will be digital and broadcast LIVE!!!
disaster, catastrophe, death, destruction, misery, hopelessness.
You mean the Rapture?
There’s nothing new under the sun. It always leads to one end disaster, catastrophe, death, destruction, misery, hopelessness.
Quite. Ceausescu banned abortion and homosexuality and look where it ended - disaster, catastrophe, death, destruction, misery, and hopelessness. Ceausescu also believed there was no higher cause than him; I don't see mass gymnastic displays in praise of Obama nor do I see the media - including you - referring to the president as "the Genius of the Great Lakes." When, as in Ceausescu's Romania, you have to stand in line from five in the morning to ensure you get bread when the shop opens and you get water for three hours a day, then you can talk about disaster. Until then, things look just fine.
Confused?
