Our Supreme Court just opened the door to more of the same. Could it be possible that one day marriage as an institution could be outlawed altogether? I believe that is part of Satan’s end-time strategy.

We are in the latter times. We are in the end times even now. And some are indeed giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons . Look at the likes of Rob Bell, with his “no hell” theology; John Crowder, with his distorted hypergrace messages; and Carlton Pearson, with his universalistic “gospel of inclusion.” Then there’s the false justice movement that talks about Jesus while holding Bible studies, worship meetings and performing good works—but it’s a different Jesus at the center. These are just a few of the doctrines of demons circulating through the church today that are leading us toward the end-time harlot church. [Emphasis original]
We are in the latter times. We are in the end times even now. And some are indeed speaking lies in hypocrisy. Some are indeed living with a seared conscience. So the question is, Will 1 Timothy 4:3 be the next part of this prophetic Scripture to come to pass? Will we see governments forbidding marriage? I believe it’s inevitable as we get closer to the Second Coming of Christ. I believe the institution of traditional marriage will come under attack in parts of the earth as the deceptive gay marriage agenda continues to gain momentum. [Emphasis orginal]

Sneaky guy, that there Satan. By following a back door strategy like that, he'll sneak up on God and fool him completely.
You really have to feel sorry for almighty God, being duped like that like some novice deity.
Poor God, poor God.
" deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons"
You mean like televangelists and preachers of hate like the WBC?
Also the end times just like we were for 2000 years now
Then there’s the false justice movement that talks about Jesus while holding Bible studies, worship meetings and performing good worksbut it’s a different Jesus at the center.
You mean the Jesus who seemed to think that justice and good works were important, who said absolutely nothing about Gays, but said things like "Love your neighbor as yourself" and to "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you"?
Yes, that Jesus is different from the one you follow.
"We are in the latter times."
You folks have been in the latter times for 2000 years. It's getting a bit long for you and tiresome for the rest of humanity, who has to put up with your whining.

Stop it, you're turning me on. *huge grin*
"Look at the likes of Rob Bell, with his “no hell” theology"
Before Dante's Inferno there was no 'Hell' in Christian mythology. The Papacy commissioned Dante to describe an afterlife for sinners so that the peasantry would be easier to control with theology. Dante took that commission, and then used it to describe a place where the Popes and those who use religion as a weapon against others are sent to the Ninth Circle. There's a reason he was excommunicated by the Catholic Church shortly thereafter.
Yap yap yap end times blah blah blah end times.
Fuck off, already. There's no such thng as the end times, bonehead.

@TheImperfect:
"More people allowed to get married=end of marriage?
How does that make sense?"
They see marriage as a priviledge and by giving others that priviledge too, their concept of that priviledge (the very fact that only they have it) is watered down - ergo it stops existing.
@Mech610
Not precisely. Hell is mentioned several times throughout the Bible as the pit in which Lucifer, and his demons are thrown at the end of time, and where sinners are bound if they do not accept God. However, this is quite different from the Hells described by Dante and Milton that are generally accepted in the modern church.
Regarding Rob Bell (who is actually a great guy), fundies hate him because in his most recent book, he did not outright deny the philosophy of Universalism - everyone goes to heaven. He's also come out in support of LGBT rights, but that first thing was enough to get his entire repertoire of books and DVD's banned from hundreds of Christian bookstores across America.

Maybe they are content that "you will not know the hour or the day" (Matthew 25:13)? They also seem to believe "where two or three are gathered in my name, there I am in the midst of them" (Matthew 18:20) and "inasmuch as you have done it to one of the least of my brethren, you have done it unto me" (Matthew 25:40). Indeed, that is a different Jesus; it's the one in the Gospels.
These are just a few of the doctrines of demons circulating through the church today that are leading us toward the end-time harlot church
Like the harlots that Jesus hung around with?
Will we see governments forbidding marriage?
Why would they? The president, most of the Cabinet and most legislators are themselves married. SCOTUS has just made marriage available to more people. Freedom of religion is guaranteed by the Constitution. If anything, the end times would seem to be getting further away.

WWI? WWII? Korean War? Vietnam War? Gulf War I?
...or have you forgotten that this world was in far more parlous states before something as piffling as the Death of DOMA.
The Cuban Missile Crisis ring any bells, dearie? The only time the president (JFKin this case) had ordered DefCon 2? And at one point was just minutes away from going to DefCon 1; and you know what that
means. Otherwise, we wouldn't be having this conversation now.
...but sanity prevailed then, as it does now. But only in this secular world, as far as you lot are concerned, Lil' Miss Butthurt.

Innuendoes and Gratuitous Double Entendres. Gotta love 'em.

Ah, yes...a Gospel that emphasizes kindness, love, inclusiveness, charity, peace, goodness, universal salvation, temporary purgatorial damnation (if any) & a loving, sane Godhead is pure HORROR to you. Not surprising, coming from a fundie, like you & your metaphorical chubbiers over suffering, dictatorships, death, hate, blood, war & the "Big Stalin in the Sky". Good is evil & evil is good in Fundieland.
Didn't the Bible have a verse about evil being seen as good & vice versa in the "latter days"? I think it was foretelling folks like you, Ms. LeClaire.
My wife was catholic when we met and after a few years she told me that I made so much sense in my atheist arguments that she no longer believed in deities.
So there's one marriage satan would have been all for.
Could it be possible that one day marriage as an institution could be outlawed altogether?
Let me think... mmm... no.
These are just a few of the doctrines of demons circulating through the church today
What about the sexual abuse of children? Now of course it isn't quite as evil as “no hell” or a “gospel of inclusion”, but still I would've at least mentioned it as one of the church's lesser failings.
As others have pointed out -- we're in the end times <i>again!?!<\i>
Too tiring to be funny ... yet, somehow, funny.
"Could it be possible that one day marriage as an institution could be outlawed altogether?"
Outlawed? No, you can always have your stupid religious ceremony.
I kind of wouldn't care if the legal definition of marriage vanished completely though.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
