[Ad when you prove that there is one, we'll study it (it's not a provable or disprovable thing). As of now, it's purely a conjectural thing. If you choose to believe there is one, by all means believe in it. Public schools do not teach that there is or isn't one - you're free to believe as you like."]
However, public schools, by their sidestepping of the whole issue accidentally imply that there isn't. As for proof, look up the historicity of the resurrection of Jesus Christ - the evidence is fairly conclusive that he did - definitely beyond reasonable doubt. Also it is possible to prove there is a God, however it isn't possible to prove there isn't one, in the same way that it's possible to prove that there is live on other planets, but it's impossible to disprove that. We've had contact - God's sent us the proof: Jesus - it's up to you whether to dogmatically ignore the evidence as it doesn't fit in with your misconceptions or not.

I would like to see all this "evidence" you are talking about. Set up a website with pictures. Put up links. I'm really really curious. By the way, if your "proof" turns out to be the bible, I'm going to be really annoyed.
How is it that when public schools don't discuss something, they're implying it doesn't exist? Kids in a public school might never learn the history of Equitorial Guinea, but that doesn't mean that the school is implying that it didn't happen. Public schools might never discuss the function of the canine spleen, but that's not the same as teaching students that dogs don't have spleens.
It's kind of like a forensic investigator going to court and saying "The police sent us the proof- DNA samples and fingerprints. But we've never actually seen the police before, and we accidentally lost all the fingerprints except the left pinky, which got irreparably smudged by an intern. Also we dropped the DNA samples down the toilet. But trust us, we know who the criminal is."
Also, check out the irony of "it's up to you whether to dogmatically ignore the evidence if it doesn't fit with your misconceptions".

Sure, if by "look up the historicity" you mean "Consult the Bible and No Other Source", then yes, this statement is true.

There not only no proof -- historical or acheological -- that Jesus rose from the dead, there is no proof that such a person ever existed.
If you have proof of God, congratulations. You're the first in human history to accomplish this.
However, public schools, by their sidestepping of the whole issue accidentally imply that there isn't.
No, they say that it's not government's business to tell you whether or not there is a god. If someone is stupid enough to read atheism into that, that's their problem.

There is no evidence even of Jesus' existence, let alone his resurrection, outside of what was written by his followers who had a vested interest in the subject.
"Also it is possible to prove there is a God"
REALLY! Can you show it to me please?
"We've had contact - God's sent us the proof: Jesus"
...oh. Some guy SAID he was God. OK. Well then...
I WAS SENT BY GOD. THEREFORE I AM PROOF OF GOD. NO CORROBORATION NECESSARY (nothing to see here)!!
The bible disagrees on facts about Jesus, and there is not other evidence that he even existed, much less did anything. Crowds of 3,000 people would have been documented by government officials (it was illegal at that time under roman law), and there would have been multiple other written eyewitness accounts too. There most definitely would have been written accounts if a person had risen from the dead, death wounds and all, and yet there isn't (outside the few in the bible that disagree on it).
You also seem to forget that there are other religions. Should the kids be forced to pray to those gods as well? See now why it's best to just not include religious indoctrination in public school?
Okay, let's have this evidence of yours. Come on, where is it? Where is this conclusive proof that Jesus:
1. existed
2. came back to life
3. ascended into heaven
I have been reading this christian crap for years now and even though every fucking fundie says that there IS evidence, they consistently fail to provide it. Funny that.
Well, you can't get much plainer than that, can you? "Public schools should be pushing our religion, and they're oppressing us if they don't."
It's easy to laugh at these people, but we should be scared of them, too.
Instead of dumping the load on the public schools, why not use some of your tax-loophole money and build k-12 baptist schools?
I've tutored a few students from such schools -- and we really don't want more. They teach, among other fun facts, that the Constitutional right to life applies only to Christians.
what he's saying is that it's impossible to prove a negative. nothing you can possibly say completely rules out the existence of god. course the bit about there being absolute proof because god sent Jesus and the bible says is ridiculous, but he's not saying he has proof of god, just that it is theoretically possible to prove god and not possible to disprove him.
Let me get this straight, the proof that your religious figure in the sky exists(with no proof outside the Bible) is another religious figure that is related and supposedly came down to earth(with no proof outside the Bible), and you have the damn gall to say the people that disagree with you "dogmatically ignore the evidence as it doesn't fit in with your misconceptions". BAHAHAHAHAHA. You are one hypocritical dolt.
Confused?
