It's the Irish for Joseph McCarthy, the asshole you're acting like. He was, after all, a person of Irish descent.

We're all foreigners, here in a land of immigrants, at the ancestoral level. Some of us just have English names.

My name, dammit, is Padraigin. It comes deep through my family, and it means something to me. When I call myself "Patricia" (the English equivilent), it's not the same.

I'm still an American. Like Sen. Obama, I was born here. But I know the land my grandfather, Padraig, came from, and brought with him my name.

So what's your name? Do you know where you come from, foreigner? Because if you keep up the talk, we'll have to send you back for hypocracy.

OVER THERE? One thing I've learned is that nothing good is ever connected to referring to a part of the world like that.

Fucktard, the Middle East is not all one country, and even if it were, it's not the "OMG Christians are persecuted" hellhole you want to paint it as so that you can fill it full of bombs. With exceptions, their tradition of noninterference in citizens' religion goes back a lot further than America's by default and Europe's because Europe decided to be fucking idiots for a few centuries. So sit the fuck down and learn something about some countries whose people are mostly Muslim but, get this, won't kill you for being Christian, because they're decent people. Yes, Iran and Saudi Arabia have sucky governments right now, but judging the Middle East by a few countries is like reading this site and saying all Americans are stupid fundies.

Also, Obama is not actually Muslim. But if he was, it shouldn't matter, except that people who can't be bothered to learn anything about Islam except that some terrorists claim to follow it would make it matter.

Well, I thought that he looked young and reasonably good-looking. For some reason, I also thought that he was fully black and was surprised to find out later on that he's biracial.

My surname is difficult for many people to pronounce. Does that mean that I'm not a "true American" even though I was born here, as were my parents and grandparents? Bush is not of 100% American heritage and neither is McCain, because most of us all are descended from immigrants. The only ones who aren't are Native Americans. So shut up with your xenophobia.
