Babies only seem evil when they won't stop crying, but then that usually means you should feed them or change them, or maybe just give them some attention or something. Maybe they have gas, who knows, but they're hardly potential monsters unless of course they have some asshole like you as a parent to teach them that everyone is evil from birth, you piece of dog poo. Not everyone is born insane like you.
Look, Stewie's Dad, it's just a baby. It cries because it's wet, or hungry, or hurting, and it has no other way of communicating. Pay attention to your baby's needs, and you'll find they're actually fun and cute. Until they start talking.
Infants are selfish. Everything's all about them.
It takes time for their world view to enlarge so that they accept the importance of other people, starting with parents and then going out from there.

Funny, I just read a quote five minutes ago from a fundy who was saying that children were "connect[ed] to Jesus Christ" and had "innate God-knowledge." Now you're saying the opposite. Which one is it, guys?

I'll admit that by day three of a teething or colic crying fit they seem pretty damn evil, and I've had some insane thoughts on how to end the crying, but the child isn't evil. An infant is an infant, theres nothing wrong with them being selfish, thats as big as their world is. It expands with time.
And it's funny how so many of the monsters in this world came from fundamental parents, isn't it.
Baby's aren't evil, they're innocent. That means they don't know the difference between good and evil. They're programmed to SURVIVE, so they focus completely on themselves, which is utterly, completely normal. As they grow, their horizons expand and they learn social skills, which is also a survival tactic. Read Dr. Spock, you heartless idiot.
I know that rabid fundies find any sort of natural behavior to be the work of Satan, but this sets a new low. I don't even have children and I am revolted.
