In a report by the AFP, Ravina Shamdasani, a UN human rights office spokeswoman, said on Tuesday they have received reports of numerous women allegedly executed recently in ISIS-controlled areas, particularly Mosul. The women that have been targeted were "educated, professional women,” Shamdasani said. She added those most particularly at risk were women “who have run as candidates in elections for public office."

"In just the first two weeks of this year, reports indicate that three female lawyers were executed," Shamdasani said. The “monstrous disregard for human life” of the ISIS just knows no bounds, she said.

On Tuesday, the Raqqa is Being Slaughtered Silently activist group disclosed at least 13 teenage boys have been executed by the ISIS militants because they watched the Asian Cup match between Iraq and Jordan last week. The ISIS caught the young football fans watching the game on TV in Mosul. The game, which took place in Brisbane, Australia on Monday, finished 1-0 in favour of Iraq.

Raqqa is Being Slaughtered Silently said the young boys were rounded and publicly executed by a firing squad using machine guns. “The bodies remained lying in the open and their parents were unable to withdraw them for fear of murder by terrorist organisation,” the Daily Mail quoted the group. On a loudspeaker, the ISIS said the boys will be executed because they had committed a “crime,” which was watching football.

Earlier, the ISIS threw two men alleged to be gays from the top of a large tower overlooking the city. They likewise have stoned a woman accused of adultery to death as well as crucified 17 other young men as what was believed to be an act to avenge the deaths of 12 Syrian, Iraqi and Algerian jihadists.
