That's highly debatable. paganism is just an offshoot of satanism (satan is the head false god demon who runs both of those religions) so I'll use the word "paganism" simultaneously to describe both.
paganism was very dominant for an extremely long time. It had a decline for a few centuries, but then it came back in the 1800's in the form of darwinism, and darwinism (thus paganism) now dominates society with its evil iron fist.

'But "paganism" doesn't mean the same as "satanism,"' the atheist objected.
'When I use a word,' Navaros said, in rather a scornful tone, 'it means just what I choose it to mean neither more nor less.'
'The question is,' said the atheist, 'whether you can make words mean so many different things.'
'The question is,' said Navaros, 'which is to be master that's all.'
"...satan is the head false god demon..."
This is in every way equivalent to gamers who argue about whether their "sword of doom" is equivalent to another character's "annihilating fire", or whether they can trade either one of those for two railroads and a "get out of jail free" card.
It's a GAME, folks, religion is just a massive game for which real people actually fight and die. We atheists will just go in the kitchen and make some popcorn.
Actually, paganism isn't an offshoot of anything, it's the default. Hundreds of pre-colonial indigenous religions still exist among people who haven't heard anything about Jesus or Darwin until recently.
What makes people think that Yahweh only one true god and all the others ones are false? The early hebrews were henotheism at first, then they change to monothesim. How do we know that the words haven't been change to fit monotheism? Yahweh and the Most High were two different gods until monotheistic decided to put them together.
This reminds me of a scene from the 'Spirit of Albion' musical.
Priest: (to his sister) They might be demons!
Morrigan: Oh, here we go again.
Paganism is a pretty broad term used to describe a variety of religious traditions. Satanism is also a term used fairly broadly.
"Darwinism" is a reference to Charles Darwin but it has been used to mean so many different things that it no longer has any meaning in of itself.
When Paganism/ Satanism "came back" depends on weather or not they could be considered to have "left" in the first place.
Even so, if you are referring to the Paganist revival movements then they didn't really start to pop up until after Darwin's lifetime. If anything, it's probably most associated with the 60's hippy/flower child movement in popular perception.

Wouldn’t it make more sense to call both Satanism, then? E.g. beach volleyball is an offshoot of volleyball, so one could make the case that the term “volleyball” covers both, but not the other way around.
Also, [insert joke about God’s Holy Penis here).
@Old Viking:
Who's dominated? I don't feel dominated. Does anybody here feel dominated?
You have to pay extra for that.
Confused?
