I did NOT say the killer was an atheist. However, I did mean... and still do believe that the young man was influenced by the hatred AGAINST CHRISTIANS spread by atheists today. That belief is stated in the first sentence of my short message -- "Some say Christians are dangerous... and some non-believers take that message to heart."
I believe if there was not so much hatred for Christians being expressed by atheists today, this deranged young man might not have told his friends how much he HATED Christians. He might not have found the fuel he needed to twist off and decide to murder innocent people.
It's really funny how everyone is going to such great lengths to brand ME a spreader of hate simply because I had the nerve to point out the TRUE spreaders of hate... atheists.

Lady, and I use the word loosely, the guy was studying with the others to be a missionary, and he didn't make the grade. His solution, instead of finding another 'calling' was to kill those who did make the grade. Had nothing to do with atheism. Envy, yes.

Frankly, my argument might not be proven, but at least he was actually homeschooled - I doubt seriously that he had any significant discussions with atheists, so your argument is a pile of steamy shit.

The topic here was the mass murder of Christians in Colorado. I prefaced the article with this statement, "I don't believe they'll have to look far to find out the murders of innocent people were a result of the ever-increasing paranoia among young atheists in this world. Hate breeds hate."
If you don't think young atheists are paranoid and influenced by hate messages spouted by other atheists, it's easy enough to say, "I disagree" and move on.
In the last page or two of the thread, she starts pissing and moaning about how she's being picked on for her religious beliefs (because it couldn't possibly be people pointing out her obvious bigotry). How the fuck can you say prejudiced nonsense like this and expect people to take it lightly?

I am not an atheist. I have had good experiances with them. These people can talk about many things and think clearly. I think the mind warping effects of hard fundamenralisim spills into the way they think about things that arn't religous. I see a lot of magical thinking,proneness to a parinoid thinking. Style with consiricisim and a belief that they are "keeping us down", they usualy have a strong authoritarian personality that is they want to follow those they consider leader or have a strong desire to have authority over others.
I have spent considerable time in an environment filled with hate filled fundies. My experance was so bad i wound up with PTSD.
Still i dont hate fundie, many of them are decent people with strange religous ideas. I do hate the min wrecking ideas that they have.
