"faith in the G-d of the Bible, not Allah of the Koran. (No, they're not the same, and to say so doesn't help anyone achieve peace or understanding)"
The Church of Malta is one of the oldest established Christian churches in the world (next to the Coptic Church, in Egypt). The worshippers there refer to God as Allah.
Judaism: Abraham, Gabriel. Islam: Ibrahim, Jibril.
'Allah' is merely the Arabic word for 'God'.
In Judaism, the word for 'God' is 'Elohim', is it not...?
PROTIP: In Biblical times, the lingua franca was Aramaic. In that language, 'God' is 'Elah'.
Elah. Allah. Hmmmm, interesting.
That Arabic word: Ibrahim. Ever wonder why even Islam is referred to as one of the 'Abrahamic' religions, by Professors of Theology, who have studied the subject for decades...?!
Who knows more about whose 'beliefs' again? I'm an Atheist who never went to college, yet I know about the above, therefore...! [/Sun Tzu]
Proof of that?: Those 'Arabs' hate Jews, yet they revere the Jewish Jesus as an important prophet in Islam (just not the final one, that's all); Jesus was a Jew (born of a Nazarene Jew mother, Bris, Bar Mitzvah'd, the works), yet even non-Hasidic Reform Jews don't recognise your Jesus as their Messiah. Ain't Irony a pisser?! [/'Support Israel']
As per the above paradox, you may now proceed to 'splode your heads, fundies. >:D
