They accuse us Christians of having blind faith when the evidence we have for our beliefs goes above and beyond the false evidence for theirs. I would even go so far as to say that if anyone can be accused of having blind faith, it is the agnostic, and atheist, and humanist.
So why do they cling to their false religions? For the same reason that Lucifer and his angels rebelled against God, for the same reason Noah’s great- grandchildren created false religions, and for the same reason the people of Israel who witnessed firsthand God’s miracles rejected the prophets and the Messiah. They lacked faith. Even though they knew God did wonderful, miraculous things, they refused to have faith. Without faith it is impossible to please God and those who are truly just, live by faith.
So we see that for all the arguments the God-hating agnostic, atheist, or humanist holds to about the importance of science, we see that in the end it is not science that is of the ultimate importance because if it were, they would believe in God given the scientific evidence. It is FAITH IN GOD that has the ultimate importance and that will always trump science.

Oh, for fuck's sake... Atheists do not hate God because they don't believe in Him.
So it's all down to faith? A thing or an idea need not be true nor make any sense at all, just as long as you have faith in it? For instance, the Bible, a psychedelic beardyfest, is a load of old bollocks, but as long as you have faith in its championing of psychopathy, you gonna be a special person.
All it takes is just a little faith and cognitive dissonance where all your warmth and humaneness are condensed to an infinite point from which humanism cannot escape. Goodness, once sucked in, cannot come back out. It can't cross the fantasy horizon. The black hole at the centre of your brain remains a ravaging, insatiable monster.
To sum up, my long hoped for revelation of the secret proof of Bible God has been dashed. I have hoped in vain.
Oh well! Back to reality, back to atheism.
Nope, sorry, no god. Don't hate him any more than I hate Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland or any other fictional character.
"So why do they cling to their false religions? "
And of the thousands of religions out there, how do you know YOURS is the one that is true? What evidence do you have that yours is more true than any other? Some ancient text written and re-written over thousands of years? Because your pastor says so as he's asking for 10% of your income so he can buy drugs, have sex with hookers, and molest kids?
Now I'll ask you what theists always trot out for athiests:
What if YOU'RE wrong?
"... for the same reason Noah’s great- grandchildren created false religions..."
So much for the omniscient Yahweh. It's fuckup after fuckup and no matter how hard it tries it just doesn't work out. Has there ever been such an incredibly incompetent deity ever ? It's either that or it's a top-notch sadist, you decide.
And again Atheists are not committed to, worship or accepting of science with blind faith. An Atheist is more likely to seek evidence and science provides such.
I still think your lot is being very dishonest here, it's not that scientific evidence exists that counters Biblical nonsense, it's that the Bible's nonsense. We didn't become Atheists because of science, it's just a tool we SOMETIMES utilize, most times because you ask "how could,," questions about things like mountains, trees or life in general. I still often skip any science and get to the old stand by "Not YOUR ficticious God".
You believe in the Bible, you believe Bats are birds, insects have four legs and rabbits chew their non-existant cuds. There's no reason to take you or your book seriously. Science on the other hand has a proven track record of actually providing answers.
If you have evidence, then faith is obsolete. According to the doctrine of your religion it is faith, NOT knowledge that leads to salvation. Therefore, if your religion relies on evidence then it is, by definition, a non-Christian heresy.
See you in Hell Harry
They accuse us Christians of having blind faith when the evidence we have for our beliefs goes above and beyond the false evidence for theirs.
And yet, once again, you present none. This seems to be a recurring theme. Saying it over and over again won't make it true.
the evidence we have for our beliefs goes above and beyond the false evidence for theirs ... It is FAITH IN GOD that has the ultimate importance and that will always trump science.
These two statements are incompatible. In the first, you claim you have actual evidence for your beliefs, and in the latter, you claim you don't need evidence.
"...they would believe in God given the scientific evidence."
Scientific evidence for god? Ok, where? Produce it or shut up. Those like you have been claiming this for thousands of years, and none yet have stepped forward with any "scientific evidence" for your supernatural sky-pixie.
the evidence we have for our beliefs
Um, if you had any evidence, you wouldn't have Faith, since Faith is only around if you don't have any evidence... hell, even God said you have to have Faith BECAUSE there is no evidence.
Unless you're using a different definition to what the Bible called Faith in God... in which case you're just dishonestly conflating the two.
Without faith it is impossible to please God and those who are truly just, live by faith.
Well, since evidence removes Faith, and since you have evidence, I guess you are neither living by Faith... nor truly just... nor are you pleasing God in any way.
Oh dear... guess you're in a False Religion too... :)
It's not quite fair. When internetting, Bible Godists have a major advantage over scientists and atheists because they can use the power of prayer and other magical conventions to enable their internet gabbling. Whereas scientists and atheists are restricted to using scientific tools like computers.
Hello Happy Lord.
Agnostics, atheists and humanists don't have faith, stupid. We don't have a religion.
Impossible to please God? So, faith is a lubricant, a fellatio?
No, we don't see that, stupid. You haven't presented any evidence for anything. Yeah, who needs science and the computers and the Internet that it created, when you can have faith in God and the telepathy of prayer. If you think science is unimportant, log off from the Net and step away from the computer. Put your money where your mouth is, why don't you?
Do they really believe that Atheism is a religion? I'm an Atheist for the simple reason that in all of history, and with thousands of different gods, no one has produced a single shred of verifiable evidence, to support the existence of any God.
If evidence is false, then it is not evidence. Res ipsa loquitur!
That said, evidence for Christianity, or any other religion, is so paper-thin as to beg the question.
As to religions being 'false', one could say the same about any of them. What 'validates' a religion in the eyes of its adherents is purely and simply belief. It is so, because they believe it to be so. And without much concrete evidence, religionists will hold to their beliefs. This is called 'faith'. If there were true evidence, then faith would be totally unnecessary.
And sorry. The Bible is not evidence. It is so full of error and contradiction that it is unreliable, except as a possible code of life. And even here, it is abhorrent in some of the matters it proposes.
Confused?
