["Fundie Time Re-definition Project"?]
God does not lie. The ages interpreted in atomic dating and via other atomic processes can be coordinated with the biblical time frame when it is understood that atomic processes have not been constant through time. Data regarding this may be found in, among other places, Atomic Constants, Light and Time, published in 1987. Both the creation and the Bible then come together when the correction is made, to show that the biblical time line is correct. In the geological record, three major catastrophes interrupt four major geological divisions. In the Bible, three major catastrophes are recorded, separating four distinct times. The coordination of these dates is in the chart below. The correction factor has been applied as taken from the standard redshift curve.
The geologic record on earth begins with the earliest dated rocks, or at approximately 4.5 billion atomic years ago. The time of beginning, however, has been judged by astronomers to be approximately 14 billion atomic years ago when considering the entire universe.
This 14 billion year age then corresponds with 0 time, or the beginning of Creation Week in the Bible, or about 5810 B.C.

Great, a fundie with a thesaurus.
Nice use of the big words, buddy, but do you have any facts you'd like to contribute to the proceedings?
This website goes on to "prove" that the speed of light has been diminishing since "creation".
And, only for those of you who have already lost the will to live, I submit the following from http://www.fixedearth.com/ :
"Questions from Daniel Ott and his audience will be seeking hard evidence from me which proves that the Earth is neither rotating on an axis nor orbiting the sun. You won't want to miss this unraveling of the granddaddy of all conspiracies, and what the Truth about the Non-Moving Earth issue means to every living person".
And:
"Whether small or huge, mirrors are the heart of a telescope. The image one sees is determined by the mirrors that reflect it. Look at the caveat on the rear-view mirror on the passenger side of your car. It has this warning: "Objects In Mirror Are Closer Than They Appear". Think what can be done with this simple principle in making close stars appear far away!"
Fundies with thier own websites - should we be afraid?
You know, a tiny bit of me wishes this is a fake site to suck people out of T4C...
Something Bro Randy would approve because it's clearly pro-God, but then point out that all these different time periods existed and their real dates, and maybe even sneak in some links to real geology. ;-)
Of course, Bro Randy would snuff it because it mentions 5810BC and everyone knows "God" "made" the world around 4004BC. *sigh*
[Edit] Oh and I just checked it out in a little more detail... I assumed it was just some day age rubbish glossing over the fact the universe was created on the 4th day and suggesting Adam was made in 3000BC or so at the end of the timeline. Amusing yes, that they'd just squelch it in with no other reason than a desire to make it fit.
Sadly no, according to them Noah's flood occurred 200 million years before the age of the fishes, let alone any land animals. They didn't mention when Adam arrived. I can only presume it was when the simplest prokaryotic life was first starting to excrete oxygen. And apparently the tower of Babel led to the rise of the dinosaurs.
So... the speed of light changed by a factor of a little over a million, and your factual evidence to back up this extraordinary claim is?
Oh wait, that's right, you don't have any, save your outdated interpretation of the Christian creation myth. Why does that not surprise me?
Well, if you take the length of a million years and call it a day, then the speed of light will also change. ie If you redefine time, all other quantities that depend on it also change.
So, I guess Noah's eyes could see in the radio spectrum according to this guy?
Sigh. I wish that if they are going to end up saying goddidit anyway, then why even bother with all this crap?
So Noah was really 900,000,000 years old? I'm thorougly fucking confused.
What, you need a picture too?
No, I need a lobotomy, a hit off that bong and a plastic bag over my head before this would start to make sense.
Dear Barry,
You are indeed correct in the fact that God the Creator of the Universe does not lie. But, as the bible is just loaded with them, then one can assume that God had nothing at all to do with the contents of the same.
God does lie. Right at the start of the bible.
God tells adam if he eats some fruit he'll die.
Snake says he won't die- he'll gain knowledge of good and evil.
Adam eats fruit.
Adam doesn't die, but gains knowledge of good and evil.
God gets pissed off and says that serpents will now eat dust (another lie)
Let me put it this way. All major geological analysis shows that the earth is older than 6000 years old. Second, if they Bible is true, common sense, not science, has shown us that men can´t live more than 900 years, let alone at the time. If nomad men were unable to use computers or just the most basic progresses achieved in the nearby Sumer at the time, please, don´t expect them to know the origin of the universe with the precision of a current scientist.
Actually, I believe the Hindus are the most accurate when it comes to timescales. The bible never overtly states any reasonable length of time, but if I recall correctly, the Hindus place some kind of special period/beginning at 4.3 billion years ago, around the time of Earth's formation. Yes, billions of years - quite impressive for such an old religion.
So 14,000,000,000 BC is the same as 5810BC? Wow, thats something they didn't teach me in my calculus class.
Confused?
