And why should scientists be the sole yardstick [of studies on whether education correlates with religion] ? Why not priests whose academic credentials are fairly steep as well? Of the clergy of various faiths on this planet, Abrahamic believers far outnumber atheists, obviously.

They have studied numerous populations when testing this notion, and virtually all of them show a distinct negative correlation between education or intelligence and religiosity. Testing clergy would be fairly pointless though, don't you think? You're going to get 100% "religious" people so the results won't tell you much about the correlation between religion and intelligence really? Think about it...
Also, scientists are not exclusively atheistic, despite the crap that the fundies spew.
Abrahamic believers outnumber everyone else, as it includes two of the largest religions on Earth, and their source religion.
Atheism isn't really a faith, it is a lack of faith.
No, not obvious in the world, never heard of China I take it. Add that to how many Abrahamic followers really don't believe,,
You're now left with true believers, now seperate the three abrahamic, break them down again to denominations, sects and orders and you've got a small part of every population.
Next, remove the children you've counted, they may believe but they also believe in many other fables. Dawkins is right on this point, you don't count Republicans or any other belief system so you shouldn't count the children in religious belief.

They’re not.
G’head, commission a study. Of course, when you try to publish, ‘scientists’ may rake you over the coals if your methodology is less than strict. You might have a hard time getting published, if you don’t meet the basic requirements of objective research.

G’head.

Probably be more effective for you to get your priests and academics to review the stody, see if they can find fault with it, rather than reinvent the wheel.
Confused?
