How to end vagrancy and illegal aliens simultaneously
We could get rid of illegals in a month - if we wanted to. Problem is, nobody wants to. Hispanics don't want their brothers to leave. Consumers don't want higher prices for food and services. Investors don't want increased labor costs.
BUT, there is a solution:
Enforce E-Verify and eliminate birthright citizenship (or make it restricted jus soli). Do those two things and we wouldn't even need a wall - the illegals would deport themselves.
OK now what? What about the cheap labor?
Use prison labor (perfectly legal under the 13th Amendment) and vagrants to do the work the illegals are doing now.
How? There is only ONE solution: Offer the vagrants three choices: Stop being homeless OR accept room and board in return for sobriety and WORK (via job shops) OR get arrested and be put to work. The couple of percent who truly are too ill to work, we will take care of (after we've concluded they have no assets or income). The job shops partition out work the illegals are doing now: picking crops, processing chicken, sorting recyclables, cleaning buses, repairing hiking trails, picking up trash, etc. The employers pay back the government to offset the cost of the room and board or incarceration. There are no other solutions. Get tough or accept vagrancy. This is bullet proof. Win Win Win Win Win. If you have a better solution, provide it.

You acknowledged the downsides of ending immigration (and I notice you make no distinction between legal and illegal immigration whatsoever) but don’t actually give an upshot to ethnic cleansing. And your solution to homelessness is slavery, specifically enslaving people to do the jobs you blame immigrants for taking so that means those jobs will still be out of the hands of the allegedly productive if not for having to compete in favour of cheaper labour that just gives further incentive than already exists to keep the working class in constant financial precariousness.
So it’s just being racist and elitist for its own sake, with no benefits, to the detriment of many, and declaring that a win while nervously hoping you haven’t fucked the economy over so bad from the loss of trade, sudden shortage of labourers, and aforementioned further incentives for corporations to put the screws to their workers to take advantage of legalized slavery that you never find yourself the sudden subject of the next great idea like the one you just proposed for handling the “filth” dragging everyone down.
How about no? I certainly don’t see myself losing anything by my neighbours staying right where they are remaining productive citizens proud of their country whether it’s by birth or by choice and keeping the work that is available the paying kind. As for your other “solution” why not use that big superior brain of yours to simply innovate new fields of employment? The lump of labour fallacy doesn’t hold true and definitely doesn’t stop the pressure you want to put on your fellow white straight males to procreate as much as possible.
Didn't we try something... a little bit like this at some point? Someone remind me; it seemed to involve undesirables and how to put them to work but the whole notion is escaping me right now.
I seem to recall it degenerating into fuckary and madness, however, and quickly. So much for social engineering.

...so you'll send back Lady Liberty: seeing as she's from France ?!
Which Native American nation were you born in, OP...?!
"being homeless OR accept room and board in return for sobriety and WORK (via job shops) OR get arrested and be put to work."
If being homeless is one of the choices, you haven't solved vagrancy.
As to the second, you seem to imagine that we can just put people in a room and order them to solve their dependency issues. What about their addictions? They're going to been medical treatment to get sober. Lots of treatment.
That's more than just a few percent of the homeless. We've been cutting corners on mental health care and supporting veterans for years. Those cost-cutting efforts have produced many of the homeless you'd just order to be sober slaves.
I just keep thinking about the 20's. The Great Depression. Hordes of homeless, jobless, desperate people...
If we deregulate banks a few more times, and let them fuck us all over, we'll all be homeless and subject to this slavery program.
@Malingspann :
Well, technically, it started in October 1929, so technically, it falls into the Twenties.
Reminds me of my mother once telling me that the fall of the Berlin Wall does not feel like a part of the Eighties to her because it was the beginning of the Reunification/post-Cold War era, so it feels like a part of the Nineties.
Enforce E-Verify and eliminate birthright citizenship (or make it restricted jus soli). Do those two things and we wouldn't even need a wall - the illegals would deport themselves.
No to eliminating birthright citizenship/jus soli. And illegal immigrants, if citizens, won't deport themselves just because the rules have changed. Illegal immigration has gone down anyway..
Use prison labor (perfectly legal under the 13th Amendment)
Just because it's legal doesn't mean it's moral. Prisoners are paid a pittance for their labor and have their debts continue to grow while incarcerated.
[Quotes]How? There is only ONE solution: Offer the vagrants three choices: Stop being homeless
Wow. You can just stop being homeless! Why hasn't anyone thought about that in the history of ever? /s
OR accept room and board in return for sobriety and WORK (via job shops)
That doesn't sound coercive at all. Are there going to be programs to help them get and stay sober or are they going to be expected to just "stop being addicts"?
OR get arrested and be put to work.
Pretty sure that counts as cruel and unusual punishment.
The job shops partition out work the illegals are doing now: picking crops, processing chicken, sorting recyclables, cleaning buses, repairing hiking trails, picking up trash, etc. The employers pay back the government to offset the cost of the room and board or incarceration.
This sounds like how the Nazis gave companies Jews to work as slave labor.
Um, if we put an end to birthright citizenship, won’t that mean that none of 350+ million citizens cease to be citizens until they’re gone through citizenship proceedings? Which costs a few thousand dollars. And requires actual knowledge of the country’s history and laws, even things that are really so irrelevant that 99% of natural born citizens get by just fine in their lives never having learned it.
Confused?
