Yesterday 8/9/15, Bernie released is “racial justice” platform which proved even more how uninformed he is and that he doesn’t know anything about white supremacy—

AKA, he’s your typical white liberal—

Let’s begin, Bernie can’t connect economic inequality to racism and white supremacy. He thinks they are just separate of each other. They aren’t. The man is trying to discuss class without addressing the root (white supremacy) and why many people of color are suffering. Now, class and race DO go hand-in-hand, but black people who are doing well finically are still affected by white supremacy. Money won’t fix it. White supremacy is inherently intertwined with Capitalism in this country.

The man seems to thinks white supremacy = extreme violence (Dylan Roof, KKK, White Nationalist etc). That those groups, and individuals are the perpetrators of physical violence against black and brown people besides the state— LOL, SURE. This man doesn’t even know what white supremacy is in any context to this society.

Sorry to break anyone’s heart but diversity won’t fix our problems. “We need police forces that reflect the diversity of our communities.” Not going to help. Putting people of color in these white supremacist institutions doesn’t fix the problem. The root of the institution is STILL racist. Stop thinking diversity will fix racism, it won’t. People of color can and DO help enforce white supremacy. People of color can be some of the biggest white supremacist (internalized racism, self-hate).

White supremacy can be found in every institution in the US and it goes hand-in-hand with capitalism. His platform isn’t addressing that at all. You can’t get to “equality” with just ignoring the root of the inequality.
