Zeus is a MYTHOLOGICAL Greek God, Lets restate that, MYTHOLOGICAL. Hence the fact that it is a figment of our imagination, God is NOT. You have no proof to deny the fact that there is no God, I on the other hand have the Bible, a book which has been tried to be disproved but scholars are unable to because it is historically correct and that's why atheists who do real research decide to convert to Christianity because they see the wonders that God does.

Name at least one atheist who did. And no, all those scientists who "converted" on deathbed and hearsay do not count.

The Bible is a book that has been disproved on many occasions
Pi does not equal 3
There was no mass exodus from Egypt
The creation story comes in 2 contradictory flavours
You cannot put goats in front of striped poplar rods and have them produce striped kids
There was no zombie invasion of Jerusalem as stated in Matthew
There was no massacre of the innocents
There is no high point from which you can see all the countries of the world
Matthew, Mark, Luke and John did not write the Gospels
Paul did not write many of "his" epistles
James did not write his epistle
Peter did not write his epistles
Jesus did not return within the lifetime of his disciples

- Bats aren't birds.
- Snakes and donkeys don't talk
- You can't cure leprosy by dipping a bird in the blood of another bird and smearing yourself with it
- Offering your child as a sacrifice is not a moral act (Abraham & Jephthah)
- Getting drunk and screwing your daughters is not a moral act (Lot)
- Three day old corpses don't come back to life
- Magical fruit doesn't exist and certainly isn't cursed
- The Israelites were never slaves in Egypt and Exodus never occurred
- Two of every species of animal didn't live within walking distance of Noah's house
- A global flood never occurred
- Out of 613 commandments given, none include a prohibition on slavery and the Bible actually gives instructions on who can be owned, how you can beat them and how to trick members of your own tribe into permanent slavery

Shall we go on about how your "perfect" Bible is flat out wrong?

The Bible God is mythological too. In fact, Genesis reads very much like a fable. Everyone's name has some special significance and is pretty much a summary of the one important thing they do, every story is constructed as an anvilicious Aesop, and animals can even talk. Real life does not work that way. It's simply a darker and grimmer version of Grimm's fairy tales, except it's not even well-written. The characters are insanely one dimensional, the stories aren't fleshed out at all (especially when compared to how our culture imagines the Bible stories to go). I was incredibly disappointed when I actually read the Bible that stories like Sodom and Gomorrah and even Noah's freaking ark were actually short enough to be written on a coaster in a fairly large font. And there were a number of famous stories that were literally four lines long. It's not "the good book", it's not even good fiction.

Hinduism existed way before Christianity did. Because so much historical documentation exists about this earlier religion we know so much about it.

And as India - the source of Hinduism - is acknowledged as the most religious country on the planet, but socio-politically is more secular than my country, the UK, and Hindus don't proseltyse outside their own kind, nor do they insinuate religion into politics - I've done research into Hinduism (earlier, therefore superior), yet I'm still an Atheist.

Richard Dawkins has done a lot of research into Christianity, natch; more so than you have into your own beliefs, I suspect. Explain, please, why he isn't one of you lot, and Jonathan Edwards - a long-time Christian - recanted of his faith, and became an Atheist...?!

If you did - and with Edwards' same levels of critical thinking - I suspect you would realise what they have: that your 'God' is just as Mythological as Vishnu. But there's hundreds of millions of Hindus who would say that Vishnu is NOT, and yours is a figment of your imagination. Who's right? Who's wrong? But like I say: Hindus don't proseltyse to non-Hindus, and like I say, socio-politically, India is more secular than the UK.

How do you determine what is mythical and what is not?

We don't need any, Informative2016. The burden of proof is on YOU. Your attempts to shift said burden have been duly noted.

But even if that wasn't the case...you haven't presented any proof that Zeus is MYTHOLOGICAL. Therefore, by your own arguments, He isn't.

Many atheists were Christians at one point, Info. They did real research, and decided to deconvert from Christianity.

Besides, the Bible disproves ITSELF. Genesis 1 contradicts Genesis 2. Done.
