Mr. Obama you are wrong in saying that this is not a Christian country but a Islam country. This country was based on the one and only book that has kept this country together through some hard times and that would be the Bible and what it says. This country needs change all right, it needs for you to either find another job or actually listen to the American people for once!

You do realize the the first bible to be printed on American soil was not the KJV, but the Geneva bible, right? Of course, many people today use the NRSV. Then there is the Good news bible for people who find the KJV too...confusing. Those are just the version I've looked at, there are many more.
So what was this "one book" you were talking about?
No, he wasn't wrong. Go to where he actually said that, and see that in context he was absolutely right. Don't come back until you have that citation, y'hear?
Doesn't it show a distinct lack of personal conviction that you feel that you have to have your religion specifically endorsed by the state? Is that the only way you can feel validated in your beliefs?
Personally, and I imagine most people on this site would feel the same way, I would be horrified if the United States, or Britain - where I am from - or any country for that matter decided to adopt atheism as its official religious stance.
Rather than feeling vindicated in my beliefs, I would despise the fact that any government would presume to tell its people which religious view is most valid, and would feel especially bad for people like yourself anonymous, if that is indeed your real name, for whom I understand that would be a supreme insult.
Grow up, and realise that any nation that wishes to call itself civilised has to acknowledge the intellectual and spiritual autonomy of ALL its citizens, whether or not their worldview contains any supernatural or mystical elements, and that the only way to do this is to adopt a secular approach in which matters of the state have to be discussed and dealt with on the basis of our shared reality, rather than the reality that just belongs to you.
Nothing about him being the Antichrist, Hitler, or an illegal alien. Just a Muslim accusation.
I give it a meh on the fundie scale.

List! What is yon sound in the distance? Why, it's the sounds of bones hitting the sides of wood, as the venerable remains of messrs. Washington, Jefferson, Adams, Franklin, Madison, Hamilton and Jay spin at ever increasing speeds at the continued claim by you fundies that the United States is a 'Christian' country (or of any religion). If they could, they'd say to you & your ilk just Four Words:
Treaty of Tripoli, BITCHES!
This is a secular country which happens to populated mostly by Christians, and unfortunately mostly by stupid Christians.
All together now "TREATY OF TRIPOLI, BITCHES".
He never said that it was "a Islam" country. YOU either need to find another job or actually listen to his speeches rather than passing on whatever Pastor told you.
And for the love of your god, STOP RAPING ENGLISH.
Obama never said this was an Islamic country. You just made that up.
The US is not a Christian country. That's why it has the First Amendment. And nothing in the structure of the government or US laws is based on the Bible.
Islam is based on the Bible, too.
Obama is listening to the American people. He just isn't listening to you and your minority of right-wing nutbags.
"Mr. Obama you are wrong in saying that this is not a Christian country but a Islam country."
And when exactly did he say this? It's you stupid fuckers that are confused as to the secular nature of the country, not the President.
"This country was based on the one and only book that has kept this country together through some hard times and that would be the Bible and what it says."
Yeah? Then point to a single law that clearly derives from your precious book. No, saying "we have laws against murder and the Wholly Babble says murder is bad too" doesn't work. I want something that's not some sort of universal taboo.
If this country is based on your book, why don't we stone people for working on Sunday, or at the very least fine or imprison them? Why don't we enforce your religion? Why are other religions allowed at all? Your book is very explicit with regards to such things.
"This country needs change all right, it needs for you to either find another job or actually listen to the American people for once!"
He is, for the most part, listening to the American people. It was the last jackass that was completely deaf if the speaker wasn't Cheney or the voices in his head.
A) Obama never said this was a Muslim country. He said it is a free country, and that includes freedom of/from religion.
B) This country is founded on freedom of religion, not the Bible.
C) The majority of the American people VOTED OBAMA IN AND STILL SUPPORT HIM.
Actually it likely was Thomas Paine's writings that held the American Revolution together in its darkest hour.
You know, Thomas Paine who thought Christianity and all religions were worthless, stupid and immoral. That Thomas Paine.
Now anonymous, don't you have something important to do like teabagging with your douchebag friends?
?lso, DIAF. Slowly.
A. That's not what Obama said. Go listen to it in context, and try to understand.
B. I wouldn't call the U.S. Constitution a "book". Oh, you meant the bible. Can you provide me a citation as to when the Constitutional Congress ratified the bible?
C. Sorry, the scary black man is the legally elected president.
They want to impeach him based on these "unanswered questions:"
"Barack Hussein Obama II actual birth place." "His recent comments claiming America is no longer a Christian Nation" "His continued apologies to foreign countries about America being a strong Nation."
lol You can't impeach a prez just because you don't like him, you know.
And, for the forty billionth time, America is not any sort of religious nation. The End.
Now that's an interesting mental exercise: if there was a single book, based upon which this country was founded, what should it be?
Voltaire's "Candide"? The time's not right.
Historical documentation about the government of Greece? Certainly has a basis in the founding of this country but it's not implicitly them either.
I kind of like Thomas Paine's "Common Sense," even though it was technically a pamphlet and not a book...
Obama's grasp of the English language is too good for him to EVER have said "a Islam country."
Unless he was making fun of you, of course.
IIRC, he said that America is essentially a mix of faiths, beliefs, and, yes, even non-believers.
"Mr. Obama you are wrong in saying that this is not a Christian country but a Islam country."
Dude just because he said you aren't a Christian nation =/= Islam
It's not one or the other dimwit.
Also he said "we are a nation made up of Christians, Jews, Muslims etc" (i'm paraphrasing obviously).
Also you can't impeach a President for lying to a Foreign Power, they do that all the time.
Ugh.
First of all, America is not a theocracy at all. There are people of all different religions or no religion at all here.
Second, I highly doubt Barack Obama ever said this was an Islamic country. For the matter, is Obama even Islamic? People seem to assume he is just because he's of Middle-Eastern descent.
I put up a joke signature, but it looks like theres a delay or approval of sigs. It's obviously a joke, but never underestimate the stupidity of people making these things. It basically goes (form ate it before I could copy/paste):
I stand to lose a lot of money from Obama because my insurance company will have to take in unprofitable people. The government can't be trusted with people's lives -- EVER! That should be left to the free market, because there's no force greater in the preservation of lives than the profit motive. For every 10 battered wives I drop for "preexisting conditions", I make an extra grand. A grand that goes towards the "Haseen's fifth Lamborghini fund", which is the most important fund of all.
I don't have the time to read all this constitution drivel, but he's costing me a lot of money, and I'm sure there's a way we can get him out.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
