Does he even count as a Jewish convert if he's demanding precise obedience to the law as written and running about anathematizing things? I mean, saying the spirit of Satan is in people, and the whole rest of the vocabulary in use here is clearly Christian; I feel like he has so little interest in actual Judaism he should probably be categorized as some aberrant species of 'Judeo-Christian' fundamentalist. If nothing else, he's referencing the book of Revelation while screaming that Christianity is evil.

Yeah, I used to have to go downtown to Pershing Square and the 6th Street bus station to watch this level of nutz, and it's fairly dangerous, being there in person. Now, with FSTDT, in the privacy of my own home, I can laugh out loud without fear of getting bit.
Those of you who don't know much about Judaism miss how much of a fail this fundie really is. Jews don't believe in Satan. In fact, there is no super-powerful evil spirit in Judaism at all. Judaism, unlike Christianity, is closer to a contractual obligation between a person and God - if you sin, its your fault. Not some devil's.
It is actually shown in the Old Testament - it was not the demon that deceived Eva, but some snake. The whole notion of Satan as the king of the world only shows up in the New Testament.

The concept of The Christ actually pre-dates the Christianity we know today. The Jews have long been waiting for their 'christ' (loose Greek equivalent of 'messiah'), they just don't think Jesus was the one.
I was going to call Poe on this one, since when does a Jewish person put any kind of stock in the New Testament, but I see he's a convert. You can almost see the spittle flying from his mouth as you read this, can't you?
I love how he drags the Lake of Fire into this, despite it being a Christian concept. I don't think you get to have it both ways...
(On the other hand, Satan being anti-God isn't just a Christian thing. It started to pop up in Judaism shortly before the 1st century, though it's not a universal belief in Judaism.)

I'm gonna bookmark this thread to use to show Christian fundies - who of course are pro-Israel - that the recipient(s) of their 'support' (insofar as purely for the sake of their own little 'Second Coming/Apocalypse' wet dream/revenge fantasies; otherwise, it's simply a case of 'Fuck the Christ-killers!') don't actually give a fuck for them .

The idea of hell (or "the lake of fire") doesn't exist in the OT. And the "Satan" of the OT seems to be a totally different character from the "beast" or the AntiChrist mentioned in the NT. The OT Satan is just another character, not the "Devil" or a dark angel. Based on your comments here, I don't think you know your Torah, dude.

Well, technically, if you're a Jew, this is sort of what you would believe or at least that Christianity is a false religion following a false Messiah.
Of course, given that they're outnumbered about 50-1 in most western countries, most are smart enough not to say it.
Also the Torah doesn't say anything about a lake of fire and Satan. In the Hebrew Bible Satan is a member of God's court (see Job 1:1-12).
A Jewish fundy is indeed refreshing, but every time I see one I can't help but feel embarrassed. It shows how my people have the same sort of hard psychopathy in our ranks as everyone else XD.

Why is he mentioning concepts exclusive to Christianity which do not belong in Judaism (e.g. Anti-Christ, the Beast, Satanism, Lake of Fire, and especially THE Holy Spirit)?
A Jewish fundie? I didn't know they existed. Yeah, I figured there were probably Jewish people who sincerely believed what they did, but I didn't think they'd be douchebags about it like some Christians are. After all, they remember what happened last time someone let their faith get out of hand.

I kinda wonder if it's a Poe myself. I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if it was just a Judeo-Christian fundamentalist wingnut (like, someone thought they converted to Judaism and then took it too far). But in Judaism, eternal hell is nonexistent and Satan is actually an angel working for God who tests us. Also, there are no demons to possess you in Judaism. That's something Christians came up with. (There's the dybbuk, but that's folklore that no one actually believes in nowadays.)
