Sounds to me like someone or someone's in positions of power have some very perverted animal lust. So seeing the gay community get thier way allowing marriage between the same sex, it almost seems like they are trying to pave the way for something else here. Because if they are considered to be humans then by the law as it is written they would actually be able to marry chimpanzees. There is no doubt in my mind that the unregenerated man without Christ is capable of almost any type of depravity and it knows no bounds. I know many will laugh at this. But I told people long before it ever happened that killing people under the guise of "mercy killing" would become legal and it wouldn't stop there and we are at that point now. Actually, I’m all for granting apes the most basic of what we now refer to as “human rights.” (And no, I’m not kidding.)
If Waiting1 understood the first thing about human rights, however, he’d realize they’re not in any way tied to the ability to consent. Babies have human rights. People suffering from profound mental retardation have human rights. No member of either group well, perhaps a handful from the latter can consent to sex or entry into a legal contract like marriage.
The homosexual agitation for marriage equality is about civil rights, which is a whole other ball of wax. Unlike a human right, to which everyone is entitled, a civil right is not necessarily universal or inalienable. No one under 18 has the right to vote, for example, since suffrage is universal only to those above the age of majority.
It doesn't follow that granting human rights to apes will lead to apes being considered able to consent to sex with humans, which will then lead to apes and humans getting married (which is where I assume this asstard is going with hit "argument.")

If you think granting apes rights is over the top, fuck you. There may be too much controversy, interpretation, and money flowing around to hope for less hellish conditions for livestock anytime soon, but a chimp IS a living, feeling being, and treating them like objects is one of the things, along with Christianity itself, that will be as much of a disgusting embarrassment to the future as racial segregation and dictatorships are today, at least in some nations.
