This is not hard to figure out, Americans are not as liberal as Hollywood would like us to believe. Disney is obviously still the most trusted but even it has taken a little bit of a hit. The latest “Beauty and the Beast” with it’s LGBT garbage is a prime example of why Americans are angry with Hollywood, and are refusing to support junk movies no matter which stars they put on the screen.

I actually get this, if I see it from their perspective.
If movies were constantly glorifying the kind of stuff Trump supporters like, I would also quickly lose my patience with those movies and consider them propagandizing. Since I very rarely feel challenged on my core beliefs by Hollywood movies, I think it's fair to say that I'm inside the same bubble that Hollywood operates in. I'm not complaining about this, and I don't think that Trumpian propaganda movies would be better in any way at all - I just get where these people are coming from.
"God's (not) Dead. Even a 're-imagining' of the previous "Left Behind".
"Avatar". "Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens". "Zootopia". Even a 're-imagining' of the previous "Beauty and the Beast".
This is not hard to figure out.
LGBT destroys Christain garbage. The returns for the latter are a prime example of Americans refusing to support fundie junk.
Then go start your own movie studio and crank out movies with conservative views. I hear Kirk Cameron might be looking for another project. Maybe he and Kevin Sorbo can get together on something you conservatives would love. But please work on writing a good script and get decent actors & editors, because all movies aimed at conservative audiences tend to be utter crap.
No, Americans are even more liberal than Hollywood would like you to believe. Hollywood want to take in the money from both crowds.
Wait, wasn't there just a rather insignificant side character that happened to be gay? What about a human woman falling in love with a beast?
American's aren't angry with Hollywood, fundies are.
*In just ten days, it became the highest-grossing live-action musical of all time
*In the United States and Canada, Beauty and the Beast topped Fandango's pre-sales and became the fastest-selling family film in the company's history
Yup, Americans refuse to support the junk! Or, ya know, not...
Actually, Americans are more liberal than Hollywood would like us to think; it only seems the opposite because of the ceaseless complaining by the right wing majini. The only ones bitching about B&tB are morons like you.
Disney owns both Marvel & the Star Wars franchises-so they are going nowhere. Good luck trying to convince your 8 year old nephew to not want to see the new Guardians of the Galaxy next month because of your homophobic hangups in a fairy tale movie aimed at kids. You might as well tell your 9 year old niece why she has to hate Frozen, although Frozen is something that I'd like to see go away, only because of the over saturation.
@#2039198:
Well, neither Hillary nor Obama were progressives. They are both moderate conservatives. To the right of me, a Social Democrat.
The US only have a moderate conservative party, the Democrats and a batshit extremist right wing party, the Republicans.
You remind me of a cat I once had, who loved a canned kitty-stew but turned her nose up at the green peas. She would lick every trace of gravy off them, and leave tongue-polished peas behind.
Just think of the occasional gay character as peas in the stew. Leave them behind. Enjoy the gravy. You're a big kid now, you can handle this.
@Meeeh
True. However; By USA-standards, they're considered relatively-Progressive....at least from a social/domestic standpoint (Pro-Equality, Pro-Regulations, Pro-Welfare, Pro-LGBTQ, Pro-Comprehensive Sex Ed., Pro-Science, etc.). Heck; The A.C.A was Obama's signature project and it even had to be revised to be less Progressive just so he could get the darn thing to have a chance! If it were up to him alone, it would've been a lot more awesome.
Hillary had been fighting for Universal Healthcare FOR YEARS....even back when she was First Lady, Senator and Secretary of State.
He says as they support it in record numbers.
RightWingers have their own numbers game.
Tim Tebow,, while only being average, is the best because he's a showy Christian.
Hollywood blockbusters are losers at 300 million BOs but Duck Dynasty's a winner at less than 5 mill (I don't believe the early 12 mill bullshit, nothing loses viewship to a quarter that fast with scandal even.) Because it ends with posers praying at the supper table.
Kirk Camerons a great actor (He's better than Segal, but so's my neighbors dog)
They do this all the time. I have to believe they know most their crowd will not do any research on stats, ratings or profits and need the reinforcement, no matter how dishonest, to feel better about their dumbfuck beliefs.
@Meeh
While you're right, my post was more about the fact that by US standards, as SpukiKitty said, they are leftists by US Standards (low though they are). Also it would throw a wrench in this person's post, it shows he doesn't represent most Americans. While America is not as liberal as other first world countries, make no mistake. We are not represented by far right though they claim we are
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
