Actually, though this person may indeed be crazy, in the mythology of the buy-bull, YES indeed it does seem that god intended for (if not every creature) humans to be vegetarian. Even in genesis it says:
"And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
30And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so."
Indeed according to the myth god did not really allow for the eating of meat until after the mythological "fall of man" and the flood. Though his argument does sound like support for evolution......To correct a few things that some have said here though; humans are indeed omnivores. As such, we have a choice. The humane, ecological, environmental, and more ethical choice is indeed vegetarian. We do not need animal flesh to survive. Also, as a vegetarian (or vegan) it is NOT more difficult to get all the protein you need. It is a myth that there is insufficient protein in a vegetarian/vegan diet. Just about every single plant has protein. The key is variety. ...(Also. most other primates are completely vegetarian. There are exceptions; some are even cannibals)..... So, though Handy may indeed be batshit crazy, some of what he says is almost true.
