Back to school...or are they actually "temples"?
In today’s public schools, the Bible and its account of creation is excluded from almost all classrooms. In most cases this is due to the fear tactics and misinformation campaigns of mainstream scientists, publishers, and left-leaning special interest groups such as the ACLU and People for the American Way.
For example, most educators have been trained to insist that “science” can only apply to processes involving natural causes (naturalism), but not the supernatural.
In the guise of “science” they replaced the Christian view with “naturalism” – the basis for the anti-God religion of secular humanism.
4. If you are a Christian teacher in a public school, obtain our Special Report in the July 2007 edition of Answers magazine. You’ll find many tips for how you can legally and wisely communicate the Bible’s history of origins to the students in your care

This web site not only advocates for pray and teaching of Judea-Christian scripture in our public schools it goes one step further and offers to send information to teachers of public schools who wish to learn how to break or circumvent the laws dividing church and state

This Ham fellow is a criminal for Christ just like that felon , Hovind.
He advocates the breaking or circumventing of laws for his delusions.
Is he an MD or just one of the fakes?
Fine. Teach it in religion class where it belongs. That's okay by us. But keep it the fuck out of our science classrooms!
"A prayer? A prayer in public school? God has no place within these walls, just like facts have no place within organised religion!" - Superintendent Chalmers.
What you're saying it's like saying that we should teach playing cards in History class or Spanish. As simple as that. Science is the study of the observable things. If you want to teach religion, you've got the Sunday School. And be consequent, if you want supernatural in your science class live like in the Middle Ages.

That's what makes them schools and not temples!
Once again...
Evolution, naturalism, science, all these ARE NOT RELIGIONS!!!!
They do not teach about the afterlife, God (s) and whatnot.
Please don't force all of us to stoop to your level. Even if we lie flat on our faces it's still too high.
if you are christian and want to keep your kids uneducated and stupid, homeschool them! Don't make my children suffer through your crap!
Christian schools are also an alternative but even in mosd christian schools, evolutin is tought (my friend has her boys in a catholic school, she said they teach "normal stuff" there)
'For example, most educators have been trained to insist that “science” can only apply to processes involving natural causes (naturalism), but not the supernatural.'
No. We *can* apply science to "supernatural" events. It's just that so far none of them have passed the test, which is why only nutbags like you believe they're real.

Gee, and I thought it was due to the First Amendment.
Sid:
It goes even deeper than that. If it has observable effects, it is investigatable by the tools of science, and therefore is not supernatural. Most Christians probably don't realize it, but the hardcore literalists should be shaking in their boots because it means that even God is open to human understanding, should God be proven to exist.
That, of course, simply cannot be allowed.
I went through the Public School system...in Canada, which, for the record, seems to be a fair bit more secular than the U.S.
I was never once told that Christianity was false. Or any other religion. It was just...omitted. It is up to the church to teach religion, and the parents. NOT the schools.
The special interest of groups such as the ACLU and People for the American Way is to preserve our rights, yours, mine and those of other people. Perhaps that is "left leaning." That aside, Kenny, do you really want to be on the side in favor of the abridgement and abolishment of our rights?
Science studies the natural universe. It's not up to you to change its definition or its methodology.
Dr.? OK, Doc. <snicker snicker>
1st Corinthians 13:1-3 The Message
1 If I speak with human eloquence and angelic ecstasy but don't love, I'm nothing but the creaking of a rusty gate. 2 If I speak God's Word with power, revealing all his mysteries and making everything plain as day, and if I have faith that says to a mountain, "Jump," and it jumps, but I don't love, I'm nothing. 3 If I give everything I own to the poor and even go to the stake to be burned as a martyr, but I don't love, I've gotten nowhere. So, no matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do, I'm bankrupt without love.
When i was growing up i loved science and history when i heard about evolution it appealed to me. I became a Christian in those years of growing up and I later found out the difference between Creationism and Evolution. I believe if evolution is taught in the school then creationism should be taught in the school too. Creationism should be in the church but i also believe that it should be taught in the schools. This is because alot of people don't go to church and for young ones who have never been to a church and heard about Creationism would likely of never of heard it in the schools. There are messegers in the school who know about Creationism who will tell kids who don't know that there is a God and that He created them. They will find out about it. There are those when they hear about evolution and science will in the midst of their studies there will be a longing in their belly that will cry out, "There must be more! There must be more!" It will be a cry because of the emptiness and the meaninglessness of evolution.
Do you know? There is more to the answer of what you see in the classroom. Jesus Christ should be open to come to the classrooms because He is the only one that can fill that void which is the basis for "There must be more! " To the young person in elementary school, middle school, and high school who reads this, there is more. In your recess breaks and lunch breaks, i urge you to find someone who you believe is a Christian and ask him or her about the things which you have heard taught about evolution. If there is a Fellowship of Christian Athletes or First Priority or any Bible club, check them out and ask one of the leaders, they would be glad to help you out in this. Also you can go to Jesus and ask Him to help you. He loves you. God bless you in this search.
