I will state this as a family member who has a sister who identifies as a man. this is a mental disorder that has many source for happening to a person. it can be sexual abuse, there can be a birth defect, or it can happen from the intake of growth hormones as a child. ( my sister took growth hormones from age 3 because of a birth defect). Children do not become confused about there sexuality in a major way till they hit puberty it just is not a major importance to them.

Any child that has a parent who claim’s that there child is transgendered before puberty should be checked out by a mental health expert because there is a good chance the adult is the one with the problem and the child is the victim of a mentally ill adult.

Even if there is a child with gender dysphoria in the school district. the child’s problems should not be addressed in the classroom because of the confusion it will cause children and the parents of children in the classroom.

Please everyone when commenting on this issue have some love in your heart for those that have this mental illness. at this point anyone claiming to have the disorder is not getting the professional help they need instead you have groups like LGBT indulging there delusion or you have just pure hatred of people with this disorder. Because of groups like LGBT most transgendered individuals are totally alienated from there families or like myself we don’t discus the issue for fear that are loved one will totally cut us off.
