Today, we are in a spiritual battle. The enemy cannot undo the greatest event in history, the event that was his undoing but Satan does not want to go down alone, so in this spiritual battle he is doing his best to remove the Bible and its teachings from the world in a vain attempt to erase that event from the history books so to speak.
In America we have a first hand taste of the results of taking God out of our lives, so, it is not surprising that we high divorce rates, crimes of all sorts, the doing away of absolute right and wrong, the murder of unborn children, and the rise of same sex marriages, and many more evils being visited upon us.
Those leading the attack against the Bible may be flaunting and reveling in these so called victories but if they truly understand the cross they will realize that they have already lost the war and all that they are doing now is storing up the wrath of God.

Ignoring the rest of the stupidity in the post, the highest divorce rates are in the most religious areas. The strongest influencing factors for a sucessful marraige are education, high income, and getting married later in life.
"the doing away of absolute right and wrong"
Ain't no such thing. Never has been.
"the murder of unborn children"
A collection of cells is not a child.
"and the rise of same sex marriages, and many more evils being visited upon us."
Ah yes, people who love one another wanting to spend their lives together. Evil, evil, infinite evil!!!!
Jeez, how do you muster up the courage to get out of bed each morning?
it is not surprising that we high divorce rates
Largely in the Bible belt, and similar areas. Funny how that works.
the doing away of absolute right and wrong
That would be because such a black and white worldview is inappropriate and archaic. Things are always, always more complex than that.
the murder of unborn children
Cells do not equal children. Anyway, you people never seem to have much of a problem with killing children who have been born.
and the rise of same sex marriages
Yes, isn't it awful how people can love each other while not conforming to narrow worldviews, or the guidelines laid out in a 2,000 year old text book. It's just awful.
actually the crime rate is considerably higher in the Bible Belt, and there are apparently very very few atheists in prison. The percent of Christians in America is 75 percent, 75 percent of those in jail are Christian, the percentage of atheists in America is 10 or 15 percent, 0.2 percent of those in prison are atheists.
And a blastula does not equal a child.
You lose fundie.
Then how do you explain the fact that a lot (and I mean a HELL of a lot) of other nations that are far, far, far more secular than the US is have far lower crime rates, divorce rates, etc.?
Fun fact! Christians have a higher divorce rate then atheists.
Fun fact! Crime (especially violent crime) is decreasing.
Fun fact! The only moral absolute Christians have (And I have asked someone directly, and got a direct response) is that if God says to do it, you must do it.
Fun fact! Children aren't children until they've been born.
Fun fact! Same sex marriage is a good thing.
Name these "evils".
Really, try and get your facts to be accurate.
In America we have a first hand taste of the results of taking God out of our lives, so, it is not surprising that we high divorce rates, crimes of all sorts, the doing away of absolute right and wrong, the murder of unborn children, and the rise of same sex marriages, and many more evils being visited upon us.
That's funny. The US is one of the most religious of the western nations, and also has one of the highest crime rates. One could make a better case that it's our religion that's pissing God off.
Let's take this point by point.
1. Why the hell should two people who have married and (too late) realized they really aren't compatible be forced to spend their entire lives together?
2. Plenty of crimes have been committed in the name of Christianity. For starters, the Crusades... and then the Spanish Inquisition... and the Salem Witch Trials... do I really need to provide further examples?
3. People who deal in absolute rights and wrongs are absolutely scary to me.
4. They're not children until they're born. If you want to get right down to it, every ovum that goes unfertilized and every spermatozoon that doesn't fertilize an ovum is "murder of an unborn child". Oh my God(dess)! We're ALL mass murderers -- -especially- those who practice abstinence! (Welcome to Reductio Ad Absurdium Theater... may I have your ticket, please?)
5. Who says two men or two women are any less capable of rearing children than a man-woman pair? Better yet, pairing off two males or two females means there are fewer new humans in the world to stress the environment. Same-sex marriage would only be a serious issue to the survival of our species if human population were low.
If you are so moral, why must you lie to others to make your point? The states with the highest divorce and crime rates are the ones with the most influential churches and highest percentages of their populations professing Christian faith.
Massachussetts, the "gay marriage" state, also has the lowest divorce rate at 2.2%. New Jersey, a "civil union" state, has a divorce rate of 3.0, as does New York, and PA's is only 2.5%, all well below the national average of 3.7%. By contrast, Alabama is at 4.7%, Arkansas a whopping 6.3%, Idaho 5.1%, Tennessee 5.0, and West Virginia 4.7. The crime rates in PA, NY, NJ, and Mass are less than 60% of those found in Utah, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, and Texas. (all statistics from US Bureau of the Census, 2004)
There is no evidence that high crime and high divorce rates are correlated with, let alone caused by, a state's "lack of faith" or political humanism or abandonment of God. There is overwhelming evidence correlating a state's professed faith in God and high crime and divorce rates. That's the facts.
I'm not saying belief in God causes these problems, only that it correlates. Crime and divorce go hand in hand with poverty, loss of jobs, poor education, etc., many of the problems that lead people to turn to church.
If you want your state to have lower crime and divorce rates, work on your economy and education sectors. Blame the folks who sent all your jobs to China. Don't blame atheists and secularists. It's just not true.
"Today, we are in a spiritual battle"
You want to fight things that don't exist ? Fine. Meanwhile, here on Planet Reality, even those who 'Have... no life' ([/South Park"])on World of Whorecraft have a greater grasp of what exists, even as they battle nothing more than visual representations of '0's & '1's on a screen
...meanwhile, I'll have a battle with spirits. No, makle that a bottle of spirits.
Oh, and good luck with your 'battle', Dave. Just as Naughtygirl999 did, re his 'demon' in a bathtub; 'swords fom hips' , and all that jazz. [/hyper-sarcasm]
