If you want a LGBT character, write them LGBT or whatever from the beginning, not change them, because it already ruined Marvel comics and DC comics, made me hate Legend Of Korra, and I also have a hard time watching The Loud House due to the SJWs deciding to worship Luna Loud for that one characteristic. And I find it sad that the only merchandise of the Babadook besides the film and a defictionalization of the book is a dildo, not an action figure or a plushie, and I find that really creepy also. That would be like making a sex doll of either Samara or Sadako of Ringu/The Ring or Kayako from The Grudge/Ju-On. I just really wish this meme would go away, because it's becoming as annoying as fuck, just like Darude-Sandstorm and Cory In The House anime. We live in peculiar times, that's all I know

So you're ok with a LGBT character in a work but you don't want to hear people fangirl/fanboy over said LGBT character.

You might notice that there's much more money in having LGBT characters than there is in having just vanilla clones of Hays Code censors...
I mean, there are people who want to see 'someone like them' in the comics and movies and TV and Senate; there are people who don't care at all if 'those people' show up in media, government, etc. And there are those who get upset. And the voice of the Upset is getting smaller and smaller, more easily ignored...

Isn't the Babadook thing a meme? Didn't Netflix incorrectly label it as an LGBT movie and the internet being the internet is playing along?

I only agree with the opening sentence insofar that if you want to include an LGBT character, write them as an LGBT character when you’re actually writing the story - a reveal midway through can work if done well, as can telling people that a character was meant to be gay but it simply never came up (assuming this was the actual case, of course), but simply taking random characters and declaring they were gay well after the story is over just feels cheap and pointless.

Of course, that’s not good enough for you, judging by how you talk about not only the characters in question but their entire series, franchises and even publishers are being “ruined” by their presence. You talk a single workable point to try to distract from the fact that you don’t want any LGBT characters, because being forced to acknowledge that gay people exist hurts your sensibilities.

Yeah, because series are all about characters staying exactly the same, never doing unexpected things throughout the whole series, right?
But yeah, I agree that if a character is to be revealed as LGBT later, they ought to be LGBT from the start.
Or like Dumbledore in HP, sort of being gay, without the author realizing it until late in the series. The important thing is that he was never portrayed as straight, just as a single older man.

…now that I think about it, what does that say about McGonagall? She’s a single older woman, and she has worked at Hogwarts for over 30 years.
