I am not arguing for racism here; I am a Pan-Nationalism who supports Post-Globalism. But I am arguing against anti-Racism, and all those who think will see I'm right and anti-Racists are fools.
When you think about it:
* Every major corporate is against racism;
* George W. Bush is against racism;
* Hippies are against racism;
* The super-wealthy are against racism;
* Hollywood is against racism;
* The church is against racism;
* Judaism is against racism;
* The prison system is against racism.
Is there anyone whose motives you trust who is against racism? No, they're all in it for the profit, or to make themselves feel good.

Maybe this should be on CTSTDT. I'm trying to picture the evil convoluted conspiracy involving Hippies, George W., Hollywood and the Prison System which uses the ruse of "can't we all just get along?"
George W. Bush is against racism?
You want to run that by me again?
No. Wait. Let me get some more Arabs and you can run it by all of us again.
...Leaving?
That's what I thought.
(as for the general gist of this comment, for one thing it's a logical fallacy and for another, yes, there are people against racism whose motives I trust, namely everyday people who've suffered from racism. And so far, all they've managed to do is get big business to pay lip service, not actually change. GTFO.)
I'm against racism.
I trust me.
QED.
burnitdown has a point, everyone! And assuming that none of us are capable of forming our own opinions, and must instead mindlessly mirror the opinions of people whose motives we trust, I think we should all join him or her in being a non-racist anti-anti racist!
Yeah, the Jews I've known are among the most racist people I've ever met.
And the prison system is all about racism.
The Judaism part is a bit sketchy (covering for anti-semitism?) but this IS absolutely true. People hide all sorts of agendas by saying they're "against racism." Its like when a cult leader says, "I'm for love" or a politician says, "I want to unite the country instead of dividing it." It is such a generic statement, it is meaningless.
Making a position APPEAR anti-racist also makes for easy rhetoric. Since most of the users here are fairly liberal, I'll use an example with the Republicans.
Republican talk show hosts (as well as evangelical Christians) often claim that abortion was invented by eugenics advocates to limit black populations. Therefore, according to them, it is "anti-racist" to be Pro-life and racist to be Pro-Choice.
Even if abortion was invented by eugenics advocates (which I doubt)that would not determine if it should be legal or not because abortions are available to everyone. Unfortunately, many people fall for this logic.
EDIT: Looking at the original thread, that individual probably is racist. My point regarding the submitted quote however still stands.
Burzum is for racism.
Burzum fucking sucks.
That's right, twist a redeeming factor (in some cases, the ONLY redeeming factor) of people and groups into something bad to support your vile argument. You're only making yourself look like an utter fool.
Get out of my music fandom, bitch.
Yeah, Varg Vikernes (Burzum frontman) is a racist, but honestly, it doesn't bother me that much to listen to it, since none of his lyrics address it (the ones that can be translated beyond "GRAAAAH AAAAAGH YAAAAH" are pretty much entirely about LOTR). If they did, though, that would be a different monster entirely (SEE: Bad Brains, hardcore homophobes, wrote a song about how AIDS is God's punishment for being gay... the band may be incredibly influential and beloved by pretty much everyone to ever play rock music from the 80's onwards, but I draw the line at that shit)
@WMDKitty
Really? Despite mixed feelings about the musician himself (he can eat a bag of dicks for all I care), I see pretty much nothing but respect for his music and the influence it had (the only exceptions being the occasional Slipknot-loving kid who thinks he's a Satanist finding it and going "wtf this isn't metal" because Burzum also did ambient electronica)
Look up Anal Cunt - *they're* the most offensive band in the world and hated by pretty much everyone, though they may not count since they're only in it for the lulz.
Hooray for association fallacy.
Also, Varg Vikernes may be a fucking racist but he makes decent music at least.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
