My nephew’s wife was diagnosed with terminal-stage lung cancer in April 2006. It had already spread to her liver, intestines, and lymph nodes. As the local hospital was unable to treat her condition, the family prepared to travel to a specialist hospital in Shanghai for treatment.

My husband and I were stunned when my nephew broke the news to us. I realized that Dafa could save my nephew’s wife and immediately advised her to sincerely ask Falun Dafa’s Master for help, by reciting the phrase “Falun Dafa is good.” The family is very supportive of Dafa, and my nephew and his wife had quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) years before. I earnestly told my nephew and his wife, “Miracles can happen when a person recites this phrase with sincerity and belief.” I also gave them a few Dafa protection amulets.

During their first night in Shanghai, my nephew’s wife was in so much pain that she was unable to fall asleep. Following my advice, the family immediately began reciting, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,” while sincerely asking Master Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Dafa, for help. My nephew’s wife immediately began to feel more comfortable and managed to fall asleep.

The hospital performed diagnostic scans the following day and discovered that the cancerous lumps had significantly diminished in size. Doctors prescribed an expensive medication for my nephew’s wife and sent the family home.

The medication began to lose its effect within a year and a half, however, and her condition deteriorated. Her face developed a grey pallor and her skin became extremely dry and wrinkled. She suffered from constant shortness of breath and a persistent cough, which left her unable to eat or sleep.

At this critical juncture, I knew that only by cultivating in Falun Dafa could she be cured. I visited the family and advised her, “Why not try to practice Dafa. The power of the Buddha Fa is boundless, and only Dafa can save your life at this point. People are beset by disasters and sickness according to the amount of debt they owe. Only Dafa can compassionately absolve this karmic debt.” Convinced, my nephew’s wife agreed to try. I lent her a copy of Zhuan Falun and a set of CDs containing recordings of Master’s Guangzhou lectures.

I visited the family daily to read Zhuan Falun aloud to her. Her condition began to improve rapidly, and after the third day, she discovered that her cough and breathlessness had vanished. Her appetite and ability to sleep were soon restored, and her complexion became rosy. Within twenty days, her health was restored and she resumed her daily chores of doing laundry, cooking, and taking care of her grandson.

Her ten-month-old grandson also benefited from Dafa. The child had previously refused to drink powdered milk. His mother also had difficulty producing adequate amounts of breast milk, so my nephew’s grandchild was extremely thin. After listening to the Fa for three days, he began to drink the powdered milk in increasing quantities, and quickly gained weight, until he reached a normal weight for a child of his age. This unexpected development shocked the family.

Worry over his wife’s illness had caused my nephew to develop severe insomnia. Three days after I began reading the Fa to his wife, his insomnia vanished and he managed to sleep restfully.

After forty days of cultivation practice, my nephew’s wife visited the local hospital for a checkup. Doctors there discovered that the tumors in her lungs had been greatly reduced, while the others had completely vanished. The family rejoiced upon hearing the good news. My nephew’s wife immediately called to thank me. I told her to instead thank Dafa and Master for performing this miracle!
