JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
A protest Sunday at the State Capitol is garnering support for the removal of the state flag.
The "Take It Down March Rally" was a nearly two mile trek through the streets of Jackson which gathered support from civil rights activists, political leaders, clergy and more.

Supporters of the current flag watched in silence holding the state flag. They said they were there to counter negative attacks on the flag.
"If they're offended I question their motivations because the blue in the confederate battle flag represents St. Andrew who was an apostle of Jesus Christ and he was Jewish and makes me wonder if they're anti-Semitic," said state flag supporter Craig Haden.
