Besides, our Lord has already settled the question of how to define illegal aliens. In John 10:1, Jesus said, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber."

You're talking sheep-rustling here, Chuck. There's no evidence I know of that illegal aliens in the States are into that.
They're often working in rich Christian ladies' kitchens or cleaning rich Christians' pools. For poverty pay and lousy conditions. I bet you've got a couple working for you at home right now.
And as, almost certainly, good Catholics, my guess is that they are better Christians than you'll ever be, you toad.

No, that's just one of those setups for "Jesus is the only way into heaven" bits. Not meant to be applied to other situations at all.
John 10:6"This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them."
Seems pretty appropriate to you, somehow.
"Aaahh! Edna! Edna, call the cops, we're being robbed by an illegal Mexican heathen! He didn't use the door, so he's here to violate all of God's laws upon us!"
Choose Edna's response:
"Calm down, Chuck, that's our underpaid nanny. She has to use the window since you're too cheap to get her a key."
"Uh, Chuck, we've got bigger problems - the house is on fire, and that's a fireman."
"Cool it. That's Santa Claus."
"someone who jumps your fence instead of using the gate is probably a robber"
i dont think that's a metaphor, chuck.
Context, Chuck Baldwin, Context:
John 10:7-10:
Therefore Jesus said again, "I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep. All who ever came before me were thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."
The "door to the sheepfold" He's talking about is Himself, not the borders of your country.
I think he was, metaphorically speaking, about the Devil or one of his agents. But anyway, it can suit anything, don't you think.
Confused?
