Someplace were comments can be left for an article (not this one - might have been YouTube) there was an argument between Christians and non-Christians going on. Amazing how the non-Christians were saying, "Well, God is love, and because He's love He CAN'T send anyone to hell!"
They're worshipping one of God's attributes, and ignoring others, such as holiness and justice.
They're in for a really rude awakening! (nodding smilie)

Yes, yes you are, and I just wish I could be there when you wake up in the Afterlife and discover you've been wrong, wrong, wrong...assuming my belief system is correct, of course, which it may not be. But it's fun to imagine the look on your face.
A truly loving God wouldn't send anyone who was basically good to eternal torture. And no, 'basically good' does NOT include kissing up to a deity. If that's the requirement to get into heaven, then that's not love, that's God being a needy douche.

That is why I despise these fucking scumbags, and always will.
Their belief, asinine as it is, is that people are going to burn forever. Yet they SMILE when they think of it.
In my 72-year lifetime, I've been through death's door twice. Looking forward to the 3rd, and last.
There ain't nothing there, so get on with enjoying life instead of frightening the children with your tales of doom.
We are ALL going to die eventually, so just accept it.
And holiness and justice indicate that he would punish people eternally for finite crimes...how? (Also, non-Christians don't "worship" God, or his attributes. I assume that it was intentional for you to say so).
This is what I don't get. How is it justice if a person harms none but gets sent to Hell, while a person kills and rapes but accepts Jesus but goes to Heaven? That isn't justice. Nor is it Holy
Also I worship my gods who are there for me not the Abrahamic god.

And that would be that God is really a fucked-up dick? Yeah, that would be pretty shitty...
Burning people forever is not loving, and if God's actions are inconstant with one of God's supposed traits (such as omnibenevolence), then God obviously doesn't have said trait, despite what it says in the bible about God loving everyone.
Of course, this is a pointless argument, as you haven't proven that God exists.
Personally I follow the whole "Well, God is love, and because He's love He CAN'T send anyone to hell!" idea. It's a hell of a lot better than, "more than half of us are going to have eternal torment because we were raised differently". Personally, I don't think your right with the idea that "god created us and then decided that if we exercised our god given talent of freewill he'd eternally damn us to hell".
God's love is conditional, holiness is full of holes, and there's no Justice, there's just us.
Sorry, I haven't had my coffee yet.
"Simultaniously love me and fear me, or roast in hell until the end of time" is not an expression of love, justice, or holiness.
You fail.
And you, of all humans, know the mind of G-d? I am so impressed, so humbled, so...whatever.
Confused?
