Lyndon Johnson was a narcissist. He probably had JFK killed.

Lyndon Johnson is often listed as “the most narcissistic president”. He was known for bullying and harassing people until they gave him what he wanted. He would also embarrass the press corps by taking out his penis and waving it at them.

He always wanted to be president, and JFK had just stated privately that LBJ would not be his running mate when he ran for a second term.

JFK was murdered in Texas, LBJ’s home state where he had many connections. At the last moment the motorcade lineup was changed and the Secret Service were no longer in the correct position.

Jackie Kennedy refused to change clothing or wash the blood from her hair when LBJ forced her to be on Air Force One for his emergency swearing-in ceremony. She said “I want them to see what they did”.

After LBJ’s term ended, he drank himself to death in just a few years. When asked about his failing health, he said he had always wanted to be president and now no longer had anything to live for (family not important).

He also proposed to his wife on their first date. Who does that? Red flags.

I also read recently where some letter was released last year from Jackie stating she thought LBJ arranged her husband’s death. LBJ also had multiple associates in Texas who were charged with (but usually not convicted) of murdering various rivals of LBJ.

Subsequently, many associates of JFK were also murdered, including his brother RFK.

What really fascinated me is how many journalists and politicians in DC probably knew or suspected this about LBJ. The children of some of these people are now elderly, and they sometimes write memoirs which tend to be rambling with odd nuggets thrown in hinting at the dark secret.
