An omnipresent, omnipotent being, God knew what man would become. He made a world capable of taking everything man could do to it and still not be conquered. We’ve dropped millions of tons of waste in the oceans, 100s of nuclear tests underground, and yet she still prevails. Anyone who knows the full power of the Lord Almighty would naturally make this logical connection. The climate change HOAX is nothing but a plundering of money and resources, but what’s even more sinister is that it grows government and its power, reach, and scope. Soviet Russia had a environmental protection group as did the Nazis. Coincidence? Nah.

Only an ignorant, amoeba brained, left wing communist would believe such a thing as climate change. Then again, the prevalence of Sanders is proof that suckers are born every day, aren’t they?

Well, probably every country had at some point. But the USSR didn’t take much, if any, care of their environment. They dumped toxic shit wherever, lost thousands of tons of radioactive waste and nuked their own civilians. No I’m not talking about Chernobyl, they actually dropped nuclear bombs on or right next to their own people.

As for the rest, the quotee has just called most of the population of the Western world ‘ignorant, amoeba brained, left wing communist(s)’. There’s a saying “If you think everyone but yourself is an asshole, you’re the asshole.”

Yup, God knew what man would become, and yet he was disappointed, and supposedly destroyed all life (not just human life) with “the Flood”.

He told humans to take care of the World. We disobeyed. Perhaps the Climate Change is another "Flood"?

We’ve polluted and damaged the Earth, and about 60 percent of all animals have become extinct, since the 70’s.
The EARTH prevails, LIFE; not so much!

Anyone who knows the “full power of the Lord Almighty”, knows that he only does things that could be done on their own, and won’t bother with things that would take an effort on his part. If he exists, that is.

Big oil and industrial companies have known about the climate change for half a century, but instead of doing something about it, they spread propaganda to hide the evidence and lie about the effects, and they have done a VERY GOOD JOB on you, useful little idiot.

The US of A had an environmental protection group, as does almost all other countries in the world. The Orange Clown’s stooges did away with most environmental protection, as soon as they could, so your grand-children will be driniking polluted water and try to grow things in barren lands, if they survive at all.

The Nazis had a environmental protection group? Ya know what; they also DRANK COFFEE! Coincidence? Nah.

Not according to the Bible. In Genesis, God repented making Man because men became wicked. How did he not know this was coming? How did he not know this before he created Man?
And after the Flood, God realized (odd thought that an idea CAME to an omniscient being) that it's just IN MAN'S NATURE to be Wicked. The Flood accomplished nothing.

The story doesn't hold together, not with the modern idea of God. So, why ignore science in favor of a contradictory theology?

In German risk research, a classification of risk types are used, with names referencing Greek mythology*. For instance, a “Cyclops” is a risk where we can predict the effects, which are very destructive, but we cannot predict when and where they will occur; many “classical” natural disasters like earthquakes and volcanoes fall under this category. To give another example, “Damocles” refers to risk where both likelihood and effect are predictable, with the former being very low… but IF it happens, the results are devastating - a classic example would be nuclear plant catastrophes.

Now, the things you talk about, environmental toxins and climate change? They are the very poster children of the two most insidious types of risks: Pandora and Cassandra.

In a Pandora type risk, we do not know enough to predict the whole extent of the havoc they wreck. But what we do know is that they are irreversible: Once unleashed, the evils cannot be put back into their box, and they will haunt the world for ages to come.

In a Cassandra type risk, the effects only come to pass long after its causes, and thus, many will ignore and even deny the warning predictions until it is far too late.

Life itself is not under threat, either. Most life-forms that now exist, life as we know it, yes, but some life will always survive until the Earth becomes literally uninhabitable to all forms of life (probably in about a billion years, when the mantle has cooled to the point that Earth becomes tectonically inactive) - and there are very few conditions on Earth for which there are not some life-forms that thrive under it.

* For the sake of the non-Germanophone readers, I am using the English rather than German form of the words.

If the world is a gift from God I would think it’s all the more imperative then that it not be treated like a trashcan you expect HIM to fix for you when you thoughtlessly overfill and kick it around like a bored, ungrateful punk who thinks they’re owed something. That kind of thing reflects badly on one’s character and I could be wrong but weren’t there supposed to be some consequences when God finds your character lacking? I mean for pity’s sake when your grandparents knit you a sweater most people think it’s downright unconscionable to treat it like garbage even if they hate it and God expects you to love him more than you love your family or anything else ever… or else!

For those of us who don’t believe in God and/or just have some common decency this world is the only one we have, we share it with everyone else, and we’d like to have something nice to leave for the next several generations. For those of us that are purely pragmatic? Acid rain burns, smoggy air tastes horrible, dying of thirst because the water is undrinkable is beyond horrible, devastating storms of increasing frequency and ferocity just plain suck, and all the money in the world won’t make it habitable again nor would it be much help if the rest of the population is reduced to fighting for what few resources remain and not even a well-stocked underground bunker will last against that kind of desperation coming at you from the outside. Nothing at all will protect you from the mental strain of isolation nor the realization that everything you ever knew is gone. And even if you manage to outlive everyone on the outside and going crazy doesn’t particularly bother you? You’ll never be able to resupply and whatever you leave for your own progeny won’t last. What happened to the rest of the world will happen in your bunker. It’s a coin flip as to whether that happens before or after inbreeding becomes an issue.
