NO religion can co-exist. Unless you accept the blood sacrifice of Jesus for your sins, you are doomed to hell. Religions 'co-existing' is part of the "interfaith" movement (moving towards the one world religion). Watch out for that.

No, we're watching out for the religion that refuses to co-exist with everyone else. THAT'S what I call a threat.
Indeed, no religion can co-exist with fundamental cultism. But there again, no human endeavor, least of all religion, can comfortably co-exist with fundamental cultism.
1. There is no "one world religion," and I very much doubt that there ever will be one. There are more religions in practice today than ever before in human history. Anyhow, isn't a one world religion what you fundies want?
2. Prove that the Biblical hell exists. If you can do it, you'll be the first one to do so. Lots of smart people have tried and failed over the centuries. Otherwise, your threats don't impress me; I'm not scared of a non-existent place. Also, Argument from Negative Consequences = Fail.
NO [Abrahamic] religion can coexist with anything normal, natural, or rational.
Least of all with one another.
I dare you to talk to a real buddhist monk for a few hours and then try and say you hate them.
it can't be done.
the only way you could manage is to not listen, run away, or physically assault them. all of witch are likely.
I'm an occult pagan, with a love for Buddhism, and I've been known to attend and practice some Voodoo from time to time. No Jebus though, I haven't accepted his blood on my hands. Just bat's blood, rabbit's blood and my own blood.
What do I win for disproving your theory, Phillip_19?
Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism (is that how it's spelled?). The latter two having sprung from the first.
Also, I hear the Buddhism was getting along pretty well with Shinto in Japan for quite some time.
And Buddhism also got along with Taoism (Daoism?) and Confuscianism in China until some cultural revolution or other for quite some time.
What do I win?
Wow, so let me get this straight: religions co-existing is going to establish a single world religion. As such, we should kill everyone who doesn't believe in your religion, leaving yours as the single religion of the world, making it...the one world religion.
NO religion can co-exist. Unless you accept the blood sacrifice of Brahnapatisamvit for your sins, you are doomed to samsara. Religions 'co-existing' is part of the "interfaith" movement (moving towards the one world religion). Watch out for that.
Fixed that shit for you.
But you know what, if hell means nobody is around spouting that horseshit coming out of your mouth, then it's heaven, and I gotta git me some o' that.
Keep religion where it belongs; in your private lives. Religion is something between you and your god or gods. As long as you behave in the way you believe your god is telling you to, and let others behave the way they believe their god is telling them to, everyone can co-exist peacefully.
When you start telling others how they should act, based on your interpretations, then the s**t starts hitting the fan. Watch out for that.
How does co - existence between many (different) world religions lead to one big one in your mind? Different religions are notoriously shitty at agreeing about anything even when they kinda, sort of, agree to respect each others existence - this usually amounts to saying "I grudgingly respect your right to exist, but thou art still deluded and I am still right!"
Yeah, we wouldn't want world peace!
Oh, it's RR, they want Armageddon. Assholes
"Unless you accept the blood sacrifice of Jesus for your sins, you are doomed to hell. Religions 'co-existing' is part of the "interfaith" movement"
Tell that to the king, Wahhabi clerics & Mutawwa in Saudi Arabia, when you try to worship your God there.
Sure, different religions can co-exist. Fundies of different religions, however, cannot. Then again, they can't coexist with reality, either.
"NO religion can co-exist."
Well ... you got that part right.
Especially when the religions in question instruct you to kill everyone who isn't a member.
>>Phillip_19 said: NO religion can co-exist.<<
Funny. I thought we had been co-existing, albeit badly, for as long as different religions have existed.
"... that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."
>>Vince said: I dare you to talk to a real Buddhist monk for a few hours and then try and say you hate them. It can't be done. <<
That depends on what you count as a real Buddhist monk, doesn't it? A few people who are guilty of war crimes have become Buddhist monks solely as a way to escape retaliation by their enemies. I might hate them.
But if you mean this guy: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thich_Nhat_Hanh , then you'd be 100% right.
This guy is right, but not for the reason he thinks. Religions can not co-exist, they are doomed to try and destroy each other because they can't sit down and reason out their differences because their position isn't based on reason to begin with.
Confused?
