In referring to opponents of sodomite “rights” as “bigots” , the left may actually wind up giving bigotry a *good* name in the minds of many who have had their fill of self-righteous, politically correct hogwash and the left-wing low-lifes who hurl such charges.

The thing about bigotry, sweetie, is that bigots never really realize that that's what they are. They see themselves as just plain right. When you're up against bigotry, you're never up against open admissions of it. In thirty years Christians are going to deny that they were ever against teh gheys.
Good name, bad name, doesn't come in to it for you. It is just an accepted part of living among Free Republic aficionados. Like the daily ritual of shaving, or eating breakfast, one expresses ones bigotry as a matter of course when one is a Free Republican whether or not it's considered good or bad. It just is. Bigotry = Free Republic.
I understand that sodomy might not be attractive to you, we get that, and it is OK for you to feel that way. But why in the name of FSM do you have to concern yourself with what other people do? While do yo feel justified in imposing your likes and dislikes on others? Why is it any of your concern?
I just don't get it.
Uh, no. If people who are against something very bad, like, say, NAMBLA, were wrongly to be called bigots, than perhaps those right-thinking people would feel proud to carry that label, but that doesn't apply to ACTUAL bigots like you, who hate and discriminate against people who were born with a different sexual orientation, race, etc., than they were.
Meh, these people are wannabe John Birchers, but they're too cheap to pay the dues.
Joe McCarthy for Reichskanzler, eh? Old "Tail-Gunner Joe". They called him that for a reason.

SHOCKME SAYS: Because the bible (their word of God) tells them to spread the good word of God to all those around them who may not know it or have not yet been saved so that they may BECOME "saved" as it is their christian duty... blah blah blah blah....
which is why they pass out tracts, and preach their word to even the ones who dont really want to hear it. and while i CAN UNDERSTAND this "sweet" gesture (when they are actually being POLITE and EARNEST about it) that they are simply trying to do the right thing... they just need to learn that not everyone wants to hear it. that some people prefer to live their own lives and make their own mistakes and learn from it..
and if that means burning in hell forever after they die... theyll gladly accept that if it means they get to live their OWN PERSONAL life the way they see fit.
as noble as it is for the christians to do this, and while i do admire it and appreciate it, i do not agree with it because they need to also read the part of their bible where it talks about God giving everyone FREE WILL. if God wants you to ask us if we wanna know about his word so we can be saved...fine...
but at the point where we politely say "no. thanks. please stop." thats where they should nod, smile, say have a nice day... and go on about their business leaving us to our FREE WILL.
Confused?
